The development of a regular teaching process in the Republic of Srpska is clearly defined by the Law on Primary and Secondary School Education. Due to the appearance of the COVID-19 in our country, work in all primary and secondary schools was suspended on March 11, 2020, in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Srpska. For this reason, education in the Republic of Srpska has been forced, in a very short time, to move from traditional ways of teaching to a completely new way of working, using all available resources of e-learning. In this paper, we will show and explore how secondary school education has faced the challenge of e-learning. The paper will cover an online survey of students and teachers of two secondary schools (public and private one). This paper will also show all analyzed resources, methods, and strategies used in e-teaching, problems that teachers and students came across in this forced distance learning, ways of overcoming these problems, and advantages and disadvantages of this form of teaching. It will also contain some steps suggested to improve e-learning system in our schools.
Educating young people is one of the most beautiful and humane vocations. The transfer of knowledge to young people and their introduction into the world of science requires a well-prepared and organized educator. The application of information technologies in education has become an everyday tool, so that its role in the educational process has come to the fore during the last two years. The Covid 19 pandemic brought new challenges to the education system in Republika Srpska. The best solutions for the teaching process were sought. At the beginning, the classes were conducted at a distance, last year in classrooms with classes shortened to 20 minutes, and this year the classes again last 45 minutes, with respect to protection measures. The paper will show how the students coped with all these changes and how much their knowledge of information technology helped them in all this. The research includes an analysis of data collected by a survey of high school students and refers to their attitudes towards the performance of the teaching process in the past few years.
Transportation of hazardous goods is a demanding and risky job. The greatest risks, dangers and consequences for the population and the environment are associated with the transport of hazardous goods. Today, numerous systems and software packages have been developed, the aim of which is to improve the performance of this type of transport and mitigate the consequences of possible accidents. By monitoring and adaptive management of the transport of hazardous goods in road traffic, the consequences of traffic accidents can be repaired more quickly and the movement of vehicles with hazardous goods can be directed to safer routes.
Republika Srpska has done a lot in recent years to improve traffic conditions. The Government of the Republic of Srpska has adopted and is implementing the measures of the Traffic Safety Program on the roads of the Republic of Srpska. One of the directions of action is the creation of safer traffic conditions on roads of the highest rank. Two years ago, the intelligent transport system (ITS) was implemented on all kilometers of highways in the Republic of Srpska. The system enables control and management of traffic in real conditions. Adaptive traffic management enables: traffic management in case of incidents, determination and removal of congestion, maintenance of highways, recording of bad weather conditions and notification of participants about it, etc. In this way, along with constant traffic monitoring and management, it is possible to increase the speed and degree of safety of all traffic participants. With this, the level of service on highways in the Republic of Srpska has been raised to European standards.
