Menumbuhkan dan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan diperlukan lembaga pendidikan yang tidak melakukan dikotonimi ilmu pengetahuan. Lembaga pendidikan yang menyadari akan manusia ciptaan Tuhan yang memiliki keistimewaannya masing-masing yaitu sekolah. Maka dari itu dalam penelitian ini mencoba mengetuhi tahapan dalam mengelola sekolah yang melakukan perkembangan mulai perencaan peningkatan mutu pendidikan, pengelolaan sumber daya guru, hingga pengawasan pelaksanaan mutu pendidikan yang ada di SMP PGRI 1 Kota Mojokerto Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yang mana penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP PGRI 1 Kota Mojokerto yang merupakan objek peneliti. Sedangkan sebagai informan untuk mengetahui apa yang diteliti oleh peneliti yaitu kordinator manajemen, kordinator sekolah dan para pengajar. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini ialah wawancara mendalam, observasi atau pengamatan terhadap kegiatan pendidikan, dan dokumentasi. Dan untuk teknik keabsahan data yaitu meliputi teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulalsi data. Dalam penelitian ini menemukan beberapa temuan, yaitu : sejarah mengenai SMP PGRI 1 Kota Mojokerto, sikronisasi atau keterpaduan antara kependidikan umum dan kependidikan ekstrakulikuler untuk saling menunjang terjadi pendidikan yang utuh, mulai dari pelaksanaan mutu pendidikan terpadu yang meliputi perencanaan program unggulan pendidikan dan saran prasaran dalam pelaksanaan praktik yang mendalam, pelaksana mutu terpadu dalam melaksanakan setiap program atau menyiapkan SDA, dan pengawasan sumber daya guru terpadu yang dilakukan untuk menjadi tolak ukur dalam pencapain siswa yan beragam atau memiliki motivasi, dan kemudian dapat membuat kebijakan pengembangan dalam perencanaan kedepannya
Islamic teachings are moderate teachings as set out in the Koran. However, at the level of practice, Islam sometimes becomes radical and sometimes becomes liberal. This is because of the lack of in-depth Islamic knowledge. Therefore, this study examines the construction of Islamic thought, develops moderate Islam. Based on the analysis of literature and field facts, moderate Islam in pesantren is inseparable from the Wali Songo who spread the religion of Islam in the archipelago by (1) maintaining the balance of fiqh reasoning and Sufism, (2) making the theology of Ahlussunah a monotheistic approach, (3) maintaining traditions that exist in the community. The pesantren develops (1) values in caring for the understanding of Islamic religious thought, (2) values in caring for the understanding of thought among religious people, (3) values in caring for religious and cultural understanding. These values are always maintained and preserved by pesantren in the process of religious thought, education and preaching.
The emergence of the idea of character education programs in Indonesia is understandable. This is because so far the community has judged that the education process has not succeeded in nurturing Indonesians. For this reason, it is necessary to strengthen the values of national character education, combining Islamic religious values with an archipelago perspective, or commonly called character education based on Nusantara Islam. The Nusantara Islamic philosophy is considered very suitable for character education for the Indonesian nation. This paper uses a qualitative research approach using library research methods. Using the library method to collect data, namely collecting data in the form of text that supports this research. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Nusanatara Islam is an Islam based on cultural infrastructure. Then the concept of character education based on Islam Nusantara is pesantren, madrasa, Integrated Islamic school, university and tradition or culture. Islam Nusantara has many character education values, including obedience, independence, simplicity, togetherness, the spirit of gotong royong, compassion, equality, deliberation, moderation (tawasut}) and tolerance (tasamuh).
In fact, if we reflect and re-understand the verses of the Koran, it has become clear that natural disasters and environmental crises are the result of human activity. Environmental damage has long been pointed out in the Koran. In Islam's view, human beings are actually Allah's creatures assigned as caliphs, as regulators, and maintainers of this earth. But the grievous reality that is happening right now is that it is increasingly complex and leads to uncontrolled conditions with increasing world population growth that exceeds the natural productivity capacity of the earth. A large population is a potential for advancing the country, but if it is not balanced with an adequate level of understanding of ecology then it means disaster. Humans now have openly exploited the natural resources on earth and forced the earth to give more than what the earth produced according to its capacity. So this is where the role of Islamic education is needed as a reminder and bearer of good news to humans so that they are always obedient and obedient to Allah's commands to be able to be a caliph who is able to preserve the environment on earth along with other creatures.
The idea put forward by Fazlur Rahman on Modernization of Islamic Education, namely: 1. Educational Objectives, Fazlur Rahman argues that the purpose of Islamic education must be oriented to the life of the world and the hereafter as well as sourced from the Qur'an. The psychological burden of Muslims in facing the West must be immediately eliminated to eliminate the psychological burden. Fazlur Rahman suggested that a comprehensive and historically comprehensive Islamic study be conducted on the development of Islamic disciplines such as theology, law, ethics, Hadith, social sciences, and philosophy, by holding on to the Qur'an as an appraiser. 2. The Education System, according to Fazlur Rahman, is to eliminate the dichotomy by integrating general science and religion 3. Students, Fazlur Rahman suggests that students must be given Qur'anic lessons, and students are given material in the disciplines of Islamic sciences 4. Educator, Fazlur Rahman offers several ideas, namely, recruiting students who have the best talent for Islam, educators must be trained at the center of Islamic studies abroad, and encourage educators to produce Islamic works creatively. 5. Educational facilities, Fazlur Rahman suggested that each library in an educational institution be equipped with Arabic and English-language books. According to Fazlur Rahman, in essence all the problems of "modernizing" Islamic education, namely making it capable of creative Islamic intellectual productivity in all fields.
