Proper management of rice cultivation through the use of superior varieties and the application of a planting system adapted to site-specific conditions are very important in increasing rice yields. The purpose of this study was to determine and obtain the appropriate planting system to increase rice yield of superior varieties. The experiment adopted a split plot arranged in a randomized complete block design with two mainplot (planting systems) and three subplot (rice varieties) replicated four times.
Jajar Legowo (Jarwo) Super is an improved technological innovation used to increase the productivity of lowland rice varieties. Related to the introduction of the technology, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on some components of Jarwo Super including new Superior varieties, application of Agrimeth biofertilizer and planting system on growth and yield. The research was aimed to investigate the response of the new Superior variety to biofertilizers and different planting system. The study was conducted in Koya Barat, District Muara Tami, Jayapura, from June to September 2018. The treatments were arranged in a split-split plot design with three replications. The main plot was biofertilizers consist of Agrimeth and without Agrimeth. As subplot was planting methods Jarwo, consist of Jarwo 2:1 (25 cm x 12.5 cm x 50 cm) and Jarwo 4:1 (25 cm x 12.5 cm x 50 cm). As sub-sub plots were new superior variety (NSV): Inpari 33 and Inpari 43, respectively. The results showed that the combination of treatment of Agrimeth and without Agrimeth with planting system Jarwo 4:1 on Inpari 33 gave the higher grain yield compared to other treatments of 7.44 t/ha and 7.33 t/ha. The application of Agrimeth biofertilizers does not have a significant influence in increasing the yield of rice grain. Jarwo system 4:1 gives a dry grain yield of 6.30 t/ha which is higher 0.53 t/ha compared to Jarwo 2:1 (5.77 t/ha).
Most of the paddy rice farmers have not provided an appropriate response to the innovation of environmentally friendly rice management, because the ability or capacity owned by farmers has not been able to support the production of environmentally friendly and sustainable farming products. The capacity of farmers to manage environmentally friendly paddy rice is closely related to individual behavior towards technological innovations that are applied and disseminated. This study aims to determine the productivity of paddy rice with an environmentally friendly management approach. The research was conducted in Merauke Regency, Papua Province, from July to November 2018 during the gadu planting season (MT II). The design used was a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 child factors, each variety used was Bawor 9, Black Madras, M70, Sertani 8. The results showed that the treatment of four varieties differed on plant height, number of tillers , panicle length, weight 1000 Grains, harvest grain weight, grain dry grain weight, empty grain amount, rice grain amount and heavy stover. Kapasitas petani dalam mengelola padi sawah ramah lingkungan berhubungan erat dengan perilaku individu terhadap inovasi teknologi yang diterapkan dan didesiminasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produktivitas padi sawah dengan pendekatan pengelolaan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Merauke Provinsi Papua sejak bulan Juli sampai Nopember 2018 pada musim tanam gadu (MT II). Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktorial dengan 4 anak faktor, masing-masing varietas yang digunakan yaitu Bawor 9, Black Madras, M70, Sertani 8. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan empat varietas memberikan perbedaan terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang malai, bobot 1000 butir, bobot gabah panen, bobot gabah kering giling, jumlah gabah hampa, jumlah gabah bernas dan berat brangkasan. Indigofera sp. merupakan sejenis leguminosa yang berpotensi besar untuk menjadi bahan pakan alternatif sumber protein untuk melengkapi bahan pakan lainnya terhadap peningkatan produksi ayam Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan/KUB. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung daun Indigofera sp. terhadap penampilan pertumbuhan ayam KUB umur 6 minggu sampai 14 minggu. Sebanyak 40 ekor ayam KUB digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan terbagi dalam 2 kelompok perlakuan pakan yaitu P0 : pakan komersil 70% + jagung 30% dan P1 : pakan komersil 65% + jagung 30% + tepung indigofera 5%. Data dikumpulkan dan ditabulasi menggunakan program aplikasi Microsoft Excell dan dianalisis menggunakan uji independent sample t-2 t test. Peubah yang diamati yaitu konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir, konversi pakan dan income over feed cost (IOFC). Hasil kajian menunjukkan penambahan tepung daun Indigofera sp. 5% dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap rata-rata pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 705,75 g/ekor, bobot badan akhir 1.054 g/ekor, nilai konversi pakan 4,75 dan nilai IOFC sebesar Rp. 57.340,- namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan sebesar 3.355 g/ekor. Kesimpulan hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera sp. dapat digunakan pada taraf 5% bahkan perlu ditingkatkan untuk ayam periode grower berdasarkan pertimbangan harga pakan untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi penggunaan pakan.
Abstract Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB) chicken is a new improved variety of native chicken produced by the Agency for Agricultural Research and Development. In order to increase the productivity of KUB chickens, high quality feed ingredients are needed, one of the local feeds that has good nutritional content for chicken is Moringa oleifera Leaf Meal (MOLM). Moringa, a type of legume crop, can be used as a good source of protein for chicken growth. This study aims to determine the effect of MOLM on the quality of KUB chicken growth. Forty KUB chickens aged 6 weeks were allocated in this study and divided into 2 treatment groups, namely (i) T0 = without MOLM treatment; (ii) T1 = 5% MOLM treatment. Data were statistically analyzed using independent sample t-2 test or non-paired t test (non paired system) using Microsoft Excel application program. The parameters observed include body weight gain, body weight, feed consumption and feed conversion. The results showed that the addition of 5% MOLM to diet KUB chicken had a significant effect on an average body weight of 1,552.5 g/bird at 18 weeks, body weight gain of 1,000 g/bird, feed consumption of 5,720 g/bird and improve the feed conversion of 5.15. While those without added MOLM have an average body weight of 1,207 g/bird at 18 weeks, body weight gain of 723 g/bird, feed consumption is 5,150 g/bird, and feed conversion of 6.75. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji independent sample t-2 atau non paired t test (non paired system) menggunakan program aplikasi Microsoft Excel. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertambahan bobot badan, bobot akhir, konsumsi pakan dan konversi pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan MOLM 5% pada pakan ayam KUB berpengaruh nyata terhadap rata-rata bobot badan akhir 1.552,5 g/ekor selama 18 minggu, pertambahan bobot badan 1.000 g/ekor, konsumsi pakan 5.720 g/ekor dan nilai konversi pakan 5,15 sedangkan yang tidak diberi MOLM memiliki bobot badan akhir rata-rata 1.207 g/ekor selama 18 minggu, pertambahan bobot badan 723 g/ekor, konsumsi pakan 5.150 g/ekor, dan konversi pakan 6,75.
