Kata kunci: Indeks masa tubuh, konsumsi ikan, wanita dewasa Indonesia AbstractThis study aimed to analyze factors affected fish consumption of Indonesian women. This research design was a cross-sectional referred to the Basic Health Research in 2010, conducted by the Health Institute for Research and Development The Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Objects of this study were women within 19-55 years old. The variabel such as nutritional status, social economy and fish consumption were analysed using logistic regression method. The analysis showed that the consumption of fish protein accounted for 19.1 g/day or 82% of total animal protein intake in women subjected in this research, however thisconsumption only met 34% requirement of protein per day. The average of body mass index of the women was 23.2 ± 4.0 kg/m2 and was categorized as normal nutritional status. Positive relationship was found between fish consumption, intake of fat, and nutritional status. The consumption of fish was affected by marital status and economic status. Women with marital status had 1.13 times higher likelihood to consume fish than unmarried women. Economic status also determined fish consumption volume.
Background. Anemia is a global nutrition problem, especially in developing countries. Several studied found that around 30 percent of the adolescent was anemia, especially in girls. Compliance with iron-folic acid (IFA) tablet consumption is the most influential factor in the successful improvement of iron status and combat anemia. Objective. This study aimed to know the relationship between compliance of IFA tablet consumption and anemi-related nutrient intake with the anemia among girl-students in Vocational High School in Bekasi City, Indonesia. Method. This study was a cross-sectional study conducted in five vocational high schools, with 345 samples. Samples were collected with a purposive sampling technique. Inclusive criteria for the sample are age between 12 and 18, healthy and able to be a subject, and excluded girls that were fasting and or menstruation. Hemoglobin (Hb) measured with the cyanmethemoglobin method, Hb under 12 g/dl was categorized as anemia. The compliance was assessed with a validated questionnaire and a validated food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) to measure and determine the nutrients intake. Data analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Results. The study found that 30.7 percent of girls were anemia and 48.1 percent as mild anemia (Hb 11–11.9 g/dl). From 74 percent who have not a compliant consumed IFA tablet, 34.3 percent was anemia. Most students have enough intake of protein and other macronutrients. In contrast, the study found more than 60 percent of students have less iron, vitamin C, and vitamin B12. There was no significant relationship among compliance IFA, energy intake, protein intake, fat intake, carbohydrates intake, iron intake, vitamin A intake, vitamin B12 intake, and vitamin C intake with the anemia (p>0.05). Conclusion. There was no relationship between compliance and nutrient intake with anemia. Nevertheless, nutrient intake can be related to anemia as well as compliance with iron tablet consumption. Research suggested that nutrition programs at school should be established, well monitoring, and evaluated.

Breast milk (ASI) is the main food and drink needed for children aged 0-6 months. At the age of children 6 months to 2 years, breastfeeding needs to be supplemented with complementary foods (MP-ASI). The mother's inability to breastfeed from birth to at least two years of age is caused by several factors, including limited breastfeeding techniques, and imbalanced consumption patterns during pregnancy and breastfeeding, thereby reducing the quantity and quality of breast milk. In this community service activity, nutritional education related to breastfeeding techniques and balanced consumption patterns that support the success of breastfeeding in the first 1000 days of life has been carried out with the target of members of the Indonesian Breastfeeding Mothers Association (Aimi) Jambi Region. Community service activities carried out include: (1) nutrition education related to breastfeeding techniques and balanced nutrition patterns; and (2) a demonstration of the processing of nutritionally balanced foods and beverages to produce quality and high-quality breast milk. There was a significant difference in the participants' knowledge compared to before the nutrition education (test score from 60 to 92).
Children under two years is a golden period of growth and development that determines the quality of health at later age. One of the nutritional factors, in addition to breast milk, which determines the nutritional status of under-two children is complementary feeding with the principles of nutritious and safety, it must also be available locally and affordable prices. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, attitudes and skills of cadres in processing and providing complementary feeding to children. This activities include: focus group discussions related to malnutrition problems, causes and solutions by involving puskesmas, PKK, and village government; and training on processing and providing complementary feeding based on local wisdom to cadres. The results of this community service activity showed that there wassignificant differences in the cadres’s knowledge in processing and providing complementary feeding compared to before training activity (test scores from 67.59 to 75.38). Cadre training in processing and providing complementary feeding needs to be carried out sustainably as an effort to improve the nutritional status of under-two children.
