It is characterized as being a narrative review from researching terms such as "Primary Health Care", "Basic Health Care", "Epidemiology" and "Epidemiologic Studies" referred to "Diabetes Mellitus", in the scientific data bases SCIELO, LILACS and PUBMED. Results: This research revealed a variation between 2% and 13% of Diabetes in Brazilian population, in these last three decades. It showed larger prevalence in women, in people with overweight/obesity, in sedentary individuals, in people with low schooling level and also this sickness diagnosis is more common in aged population. It revealed the importance of the educative practices in Primary Health Care, which objective is to reinforce selfcare. Final considerations: Incidence and prevalence of Diabetes are increasing in Brazil. In Primary Health Care such pathology must be accompanied by a capable team for developing clinical care and educative practices.
This study aimed to understand the motivations for the development and ongoing group activities in Primary Care in the perception of users and professionals. It is a descriptive research with qualitative methodology, developed in a Health Unit with a Community Health Workers Strategy in a city in southern Brazil. Fifteen patients and five professionals were included in this study, using an intentional sample plus convenience and saturation. The data were collected through individual semi-structured narrative interviews, analyzed using content analysis. The categories found that the subjects motivations comprise interpersonal relations, knowledge construction and comprehensive care. The results reveal the importance of teamwork in Primary Care to health promotion, once it has a positive impact on the clinical, social and emotional conditions of the subjects.
Purpose: to evaluate the understanding of noise and the perception about quality of life of gas station workers. Methods: this is an exploratory study with a sample of 32 employees, of both sexes from three gas stations of a country town in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Data were collected during the activities allusive to the International Noise Awareness Day, in April 2015, by a questionnaire on noise and hearing health and by the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-Bref).Results: most workers reported not having a hearing loss, discomfort or pain when subjected to noise. However, they believe that exposure to noise can lead to hearing loss as well as tinnitus and dizziness. The working environment was indicated as noisy, but the workers do not perceive noise producers and do not adopt preventive measures. Concerning the quality of life, the lowest score was for the environmental domain, in both sexes and age equal and less than 30 years. Conclusion: the study allowed to understand that the majority of workers does not have significant knowledge about the need for protective measures against noise; also showed that the environmental domain was the most compromised in the perception of employees on quality of life.
Introduction: People with acquired brain injury may present motor and language sequelae that affect their lives and their relatives' lives, especially when relatives assume the function of informal caregivers. Objective: to discuss the impact of individuals' motor and aphasic sequelae on relatives/ informal caregivers' daily lives. Methods: an exploratory and cross-sectional study, with a qualitative approach. Participated in the study relatives/informal caregivers of individuals with motor and language sequelae resulting from brain injury, who participated on an interdisciplinary peer group. Speeches about the impact of this situation in their everyday life were recorded. The data treatment was from orthographic transcription to a thematic analysis/content analysis. Results: The study included five female relatives/ informal caregivers, being them housekeepers (four wives and one daughter), with age range of 33 to 74 years-old. The time of care varied from one year and six months to five years. They referred difficulties in domestic routine, caregivers' personal and social lives, and in the family financial condition. In the cases of subjects with aphasia, caregivers reported difficulties with comprehension and expression, as well as problems to handle the relative's humor. Conclusion: the results emphasize the difficulties experienced by relatives/informal caregivers of individuals with motor and language sequelae resulting from acquired brain injury, and the importance of peer group with multiprofessional care team inter/ transdisciplinary, expanding the possibilities of investigations of speech therapy, while health area that studies language and the repercussions of aphasia In the uniqueness of the affected individuals and their relatives/caregivers.
Resumo: A inserção do fisioterapeuta na atenção primária à saúde é um processo em construção, e temse no trabalho dos agentes comunitários de saúde (ACS)um canalpara que isto ocorra, pois este estabelece um elo entre a Fisioterapia e a comunidade, verificando necessidades de vida diária dos indivíduos. Avaliouse a percepção dos agentes comunitários de saúde sobre a fisioterapia na atenção primária, com o objetivo de explorar a compreensão dos ACS sobre as possibilidades de atuação da fisioterapia na atenção primáriapara ampliar a atuação fisioterapêutica na atenção básica, e ampliar a interação entre estas profissões. Participaram como sujeitos, 11 ACS pertencentes a três Unidades de Saúde de Santa Maria/RS, estas acolhem ações do Projeto PETSaúde UFSM/UNIFRA. Utilizouse um questionário composto de dois blocos, o primeiro com cinco questões fechadas de identificação geral, o segundo com três questões abertas de ordem ocupacional. Concluise que a integração com os agentes representa uma possibilidade importante e viável para potencializar as ações fisioterapêuticas na atenção básica. Descritores: Fisioterapia, Agente Comunitário de Saúde, Atenção primária Community health agents' perception on Physiotherapy in primary caseAbstract: The physiotherapist′s insertion in primary health care is an ongoing process, and in the community health agent′s (CHA) work is the key piece for this to occur, since the CHA establishes a link between Physiotherapy and the community, verifying daily life′s needs of the individuals. Community health agents′ perception on physiotherapy in primary care was evaluated, with the objective of exploring CHAs′ comprehension on the possibilities of physiotherapy′s performance in primary care to expand physiotherapy performance in primary care, and increase the interaction between these professions. Eleven (11) CHAs, who belong to three Health Units of Santa Maria/RS, participated in this study as subjects. The Health Units receive actions from PET Project -Health UFSM/UNIFRA. A questionnaire composed by two blocks was used. The first block consisted in five closed questions of general identification, and the second in three open questions of occupational order. It was concluded that the integration with the agents represents an important and viable possibility to potentiate physiotherapy′s actions in primary health care.
Objetivo: apresentar e discutir a atuação multiprofissional de natureza transdisciplinar realizada por especialistas não-médicos, em um Grupo de Saúde, na AB, baseado em relatos dos participantes do grupo. Método: estudo descritivo e qualitativo; utilizou-se o grupo focal como técnica de pesquisa. Resultados: As atividades diminuíram a incontinência urinária e as dificuldades de deglutição, reduziram as dosagens de medicações e a demanda por consulta médica, aprimoraram a autoestima, a qualidade de vida e o impacto reabilitador em algumas Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis e transtornos osteomusculares. A atuação transdisciplinar em grupo, próxima do contexto de assistência e cuidado, proporcionou a eficácia da AB - reduzindo o número de encaminhamentos; o grupo favoreceu o fortalecimento de vínculos entre trabalhadores/usuários e, ainda, novas amizades entre os usuários. Conclusão: ação transdisciplinar grupal é importante dispositivo promotor de saúde; um relevante apoio aos cuidados primários de saúde.
This study aimed to analyze the perception of Tutors, Preceptors and Residents of Multi-Professional Residency Programs in Primary Health Care (PRMS-AB) developed in Southern Brazil, as participants in this type of formation. Descriptive and qualitative study conducted from May to September 2016, by electronic questionnaire (closed and open questions) for Tutors, Preceptors and Residents, analyzed by the technique of Content Analysis. 23 Tutors, 14 Preceptors and 22 Residents from six Higher Education Institutions participated. The professional qualification of 84.2% of the Tutors was in Collective Health, Public Health or Higher Education; 92.9% of Preceptors had at least one specialization in these areas. Tutors and Preceptors attributed the lack of time and fragility of the teaching-service relationship as difficulties. For Residents, the lack of core Preceptor or the overload of Nurse Preceptor weakens training. Tutoring positively influenced the teaching exercise in undergraduate; For Preceptors, PRMS-AB enabled changes in the work process. Residents rated AB as an appropriate field for core activities. According to those involved, PRMS-AB are potent to (trans) train health professionals and services.
Objetivo: Analisar a percepção de trabalhadores da saúde sobre a política de promoção da saúde voltada para os idosos em um município do Sul do Brasil. Metodologia: Estudo de caso qualitativo no qual participaram quatro profissionais da saúde que desenvolvem ações da política de promoção da saúde para os idosos, sendo a amostra intencional, por conveniência e saturação. Os dados foram coletados mediante grupo focal e analisados por meio da análise temática. Resultados: As categorias denotaram que a percepção dos trabalhadores de saúde sobre a política de promoção da saúde para os idosos compreenderam tanto a garantia do acesso às ações e quanto à atenção aos determinantes da saúde. Conclusões: Os resultados encontrados retrataram que a política de promoção da saúde para a população idosa envolve questões complexas e multifatoriais, com necessidade de um olhar ampliado.
