In this study, asymmetric variations in dorsal and ventral body setae in some adult females in three species of the genus Raphignathus Dugès; R. gracilis (Rack), R. hecmatanaensis Khanjani & Ueckermann and R. kuznetzovi Doğan & Ayyıldız were given and photographed. Records on asymmetric variations in Raphignathus species found in the literature were also reviewed.
A new species of the genus Prostigmaeus Kuznetzov (Stigmaeidae), P. amplius sp. nov. collected from soil, grassy soil and litter samples from Turkey, is described and illustrated. This species can be distinguished by having apodemal marking, one pair of extra and non-setose dorsal platelets, having humeral shields, suranal shield entire and genual setal formula 5(+1κ)-5(+1κ)-2-2. Comparison of the chaetotaxy and some morphological features of Prostigmaeus species are provided as tabular data, and an updated key to the species is presented here.
Five new species of Stigmaeidae (Acariformes: Raphignathoidea) from Harşit Valley and Örümcek Forests (Turkey) are described: Stigmaeus communis sp. nov., S. fimus sp. nov., S. harsitensis sp. nov., S. longiclipeatus sp. nov., and S. pseudoparmatus sp. nov.
Molothrognathus bahariensis Ueckermann and Khanjani (Acari: Caligonellidae), a new record for the Acarofauna of Turkey, is reviewed based on two females and one deutonymph specimens found in moss, Pülümür Valley (Turkey). Phase-contrast micrographs of this species are also given here.
Pülümür Vadisi'nden (Türkiye) toplanan akarlar içerisinden Stigmaeidae familyasına ait örnekler incelenmiştir. İncelenen örneklerden toplam altı stigmaeid akar türü bu çalışmada değerlendirilmiştir. Bunlardan; Eustigmaeus capitatus Stathakis, Kapaxidi & Papadoulis, Eustigmaeus nahidae Gheblealivand & Bagheri ile Mediolata aegyptiaca (Zaher & Soliman) Türkiye faunası için yeni olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca Eustigmaeus dogani Khanjani, Fayaz, Mirmoayedi & Ghaedi, Stigmaeus glabrisetus Summers'ın dötonimf evreleri ile Villersia sudetica Willmann'ın larvası ilk defa bu çalışmada tanımlanmıştır. Tespit edilen bu türler Pülümür Vadisi'nden ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Türlerin ölçümleri yapılarak tanımları toplanan örnekler üzerinden gözden geçirilmiş ve fotoğraflarına yer verilmiştir.
