Three cases of prurigo pigmentosa are presented. These patients had episodes of recurring pruritic red papules and gross reticular pigmentation, and responded remarkably to 4,4'‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) or sulfisomezole. The possibility was suggested that this dermatosis is due to allergic reactions to substances similar in chemical structure to sulfonamides.
