قيست الخواص التركيبية ومقاومة الزحف والموصلية الكهربائية لسبائك (قصدير-9خارصين) مع اضافه الفضة بتراكيز (0.1 & 0.3 wt.%)  باستخدام جهاز حيود الأشعة السينية وجهاز اختبار الزحف الميكانيكي ودائرة التيار المستمر، على التوالي. تم تحضير الثلاث العينات بنقاوة عالية (99.99%) باستخدام تقنية الصهر في انابيب بيركس مع إضافة كلوريد الكالسيوم لمنع التأكسد. أظهرت تحاليل جهاز حيود الأشعة السينية للسبيكة الثنائية (قصدير-9خارصين) انها مركب ابتدائي من طورين، الأول طور رباعي متمركز الجسم β-Sn والثاني طور خارصين سداسي، بينما مع إضافة الفضة للسبيكة الثنائية أظهرت أنماط حيود الأشعة السينية قمم جديدة في المركبات الثلاثية مثل β-Sn, Zn, Ag3Sn & AgZn3)). متوسط الحجم الحبيبي للطور (β-Sn) يتناقص مع زيادة إضافة الفضة بينما كثافة الانخلاع تتزايد مع زيادة إضافة الفضة. خصائص الزحف دٌرست للثلاث العينات عند درجات حرارة مختلفة (, 25 40 و80 درجة مئوية) تحت تأثير حملين (18.7 و24.9 ميجا باسكال). أظهرت نتائج سلوك الزحف لسبائك ان السبائك الثلاثية لها مقاومة زحف اعلى من السبيكة الثنائية، بسبب تعزيز التركيب وظهور مركبات بينية في السبائك. تم الحصول على قيم أس الاجهاد في نطاق 2.51 الى 6.68 لجميع السبائك.  تم الحصول على قيم طاقة التنشيط للسبائك في حدود 36.48 الى 41.14 كيلو جول/مول للحمل 18.7 ميجا باسكال و27 الى 34.3 كيلو جول / مول للحمل 24.94 ميجا باسكال. الموصلية الكهربائية قيست عند درجة حرارة الغرفة (25 درجة مئوية)، قيمها تزايدت مع زيادة إضافة تركيز الفضة.

The mechanical response of Pb-10wt% Sn solder alloy has been tested under four strain rates and three deformation temperatures. The behavior of true stress-true strain of Pb-10wt% Sn solder alloy has been investigated over strain rates of 0.005-0.25% s −1 and deformation temperatures of 383, 413, and 433 K. The deformation behavior and grain growth mechanism were investigated by stress-strain curve analysis and microstructure observations. The results show that the general characteristics of stress-strain curve and microstructure of Pb-10wt% Sn alloy sensitively depend on the deformation temperature and strain rate. New free grains have been nucleated in microstructures in the process of dynamic recrystallization. These grains grow during deformation, forming coarser structure and elongation. The dynamic recrystallization and grain growth increase with increasing deformation temperature and decreasing strain rate.

The microstructural, creep resistance and electrical conductivity properties of Sn-0.7Cu eutectic alloy with Bi-additions in concentrations (0.3 and 0.5 wt.%) have been investigated using x-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), creep testing machine and (DC) circuit respectively. The three samples were prepared from high purity (99.99%) elements Sn, Cu, and Bi using melting technique. XRD and SEM analysis showed that the eutectic Sn-0.7Cu alloy composed primarily of two phases; a body centered tetragonal 𝜷-Sn phase and monoclinic IMC Cu 6 Sn 5 , the additions of 0.3 and 0.5 wt.% Bi to the eutectic Sn-0.7Cu promote the formation of IMC Cu 6 Sn 5. The above motioned Bi additions have refined the 𝜷-Sn particle size. Creep tests showed that the creep strain rate increases and the creep lifetime (rupture time) decreases as the applied stress and temperature rises. Improvements in creep resistance solders have been achieved by increasing the Bi content up to 0.5 wt. %. The mean values of stress exponent and activation energy indicate that the dislocation creep is the dominate controlling mechanism. The electrical conductivity of the samples was calculated at room temperature, it has the highest value with 0.3 wt.% of Bi.
