Climate change is currently a very troubling problem in the world. Indonesia is also one of the countries affected by climate change This also happened in the Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The impact of climate change can be seen directly in the Bukit Batu area with the emergence of disasters that occurred there, in the coastal area the perceived impact is an increase in tidal water levels every year which causes tidal flooding and abrasion, in addition to the problems in peat areas that often occur. There are land and forest fires during the summer season and flooding in the rainy season. Through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit Sungai Pakning,like “Program Kampung Iklim”, “Kampung Gambut Berdikari”, “Permata Hijau Pesisir Gambut”, “ Sekolah Cinta Gambut” programs, the community around the company began to be able to adapt in various ways with the assistance provided by the company and government too. So that with the CSR program, the community will be able to live sustainably. In addition, collaboration between stakeholders is also very helpfull for the success of the program in supporting community adaptation efforts to climate change. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the condition of the area affected by climate change with a purposive sampling procedure for the CSR program of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit Sungai Pakning. With this collaboration program, climate change problems have begun to be handle, such as in Pangkalan Jambi and Sungai Pakning Village.
This paper describes the disasters that occur in peatland and coastal areas, especially in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. In addition, it is also explained about disaster management with cross – sectoral cooperation in accordance with the role of each sector so as to reduce the impact and even overcome the disaster. In this research paper using qualitative research methods and conducted with open interviews and filed surveys. As a result, with this cross-sectoral collaboration, land and forest has stoppes and the abrasion on the coast of Pangkalan Jambi Village has stopped and has even begun to form new land.
This article contains the level of information literacy and disaster literacy skills for teachers and secondary students in Surakarta in reviewing and responding to disaster information and symptoms of disasters. This article is based on Doyle’s theory that the most basic ability in information literacy is the ability to know the accuracy and completeness of information which is the basis for making sound decisions. Quantitative methods were used to test the ability of 20 teachers and 82 secondary students to examine the accuracy and completeness of disaster information and symptoms of disasters and the ability of teachers and secondary students to respond to disaster information and symptoms of disasters. the results presented in this article. First, the ability of information literacy in knowing the accuracy and completeness of information on teachers and secondary students is low because only 5.5% of teachers and 7.8% of students confirm the accuracy of disaster information, and only 5.2% of students who want to find the completeness of the information. Second, most teachers and secondary students generalize their responses to both disaster symptoms and disaster information, they will immediately evacuate if they receive disaster symptoms or information.
<p><em>The purpose of this study is to find out</em><em>: (1) </em><em>teacher's level of understanding of maritime material</em><em>, (2) </em><em>the ability of teachers in the preparation of maritime learning media</em><em>, (3) </em><em>student acceptance of maritime learning</em><em>. This type of research is qualitative with the research method used is the sample survey method. The study population was all Social Sciences Junior High School Teachers in Surakarta</em><em>. </em><em>Samples were taken at random as many as 36 ips teachers both from public and private junior high schools in Surakarta. Data collection techniques with questionnaires and documentation. Based on research results obtained by the level of understanding of maritime teachers as much as 79% are at a medium level</em><em>, as well as the level of teacher's ability to make maritime learning media as much as 61% are in the medium level so that student acceptance of maritime learning as much as 66% is in the medium level</em><em>.</em></p>
Social Sustainability and Public Perception of Public Transportation in the City of Surakarta (Case Study of the 2021 BST Bus): The development of sustainable public transportation needs to be a topic of attention. Nearly 56.2% of the world's population lives in urban areas. Transportation as part of the urban form element must meet sustainable transportation standards. The purposes of this research were to determine the condition of the social sustainability of the Batik Solo Trans (BST) Bus in 2021 and to find out the Surakarta community's perception of the sustainability of the BST Bus in 2021. This research uses a qualitative-quantitative method (mixed method). The research was carried out in 4 BST Bus operating corridors in Surakarta City. Data taken in the form of primary data collected by means of field observations and interviews, as well as secondary data taken from documentation or records of related parties. In collecting perception data using a framework that has been compiled by Litman (2019) and adjusted according to the availability of data and the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this research indicate that the BST Bus has met most of the indicators in socially sustainable transportation. Things that need to be paid attention to are indicators of accessibility for people with disabilities and access for low-income passengers. The results also show that people's perceptions of the social sustainability of the BST Bus vary. Corridors I, II, and III get good perception results, while Corridor IV gets moderate perception results. The results of this research are very important as the basis for the improvement and development of sustainable transportation in the city of Surakarta and in Indonesia.Keywords: sustainable transportation; public transportation; Social Sustainability; Batik Solo Trans Bus.ABSTRAKTopik pembangunan transportasi umum yang berkelanjutan perlu menjadi perhatian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-kuantitatif (mixed method). Penelitian dilaksanakan di 4 koridor operasi Bus BST di Kota Surakarta. Data yang diambil berupa data primer yang dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi lapangan dan wawancara, serta data sekunder diambil dari dokumentasi atau catatan pihak-pihak terkait. Pada pengambilan data persepsi menggunakan kerangka kerja yang telah disusun oleh Litman (2019) dan disesuaikan menurut ketersediaan data serta kondisi pandemi Covid-19. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Bus BST telah memenuhi sebagian besar indikator dalam transportasi yang keberkelanjutan sosial. Hal yang perlu menjadi perhatian adalah pada indikator aksesibilitas bagi penyandang disabilitas dan akses penumpang berpendapatan rendah. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberlanjutan sosial Bus BST beragam. Koridor I, II, dan III mendapatkan hasil persepsi yang baik, sedangkan Koridor IV mendapatkan hasil persepsi yang sedang. Hasil dari penelitian ini sangat penting sebagai dasar perbaikan dan pengembangan transportasi berkelanjutan di Kota Surakarta secara khusus dan di Indonesia secara umum.Kata Kunci: Transportasi Berkelanjutan; Transportasi Umum; Keberlanjutan Sosial; Bus Batik Solo Trans
Penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa (1) Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan penanaman pohon di daerah longsor untuk Desa Krajan dan Desa Gondangsari tergolong rendah dan untuk Desa Tangkil dan Desa Sooro tergolong tinggi. Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan sosialisasi daerah rawan longsor dan pelatihan kebencanaan di Desa Krajan, Desa Tangkil, dan Desa Sooro tergolong tinggi dan untuk Desa Gondangsari tergolong rendah. (2) Ada empat bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam program Desa Tangguh Bencana di Desa Banaran, yaitu bentuk partisipasi ide/pikiran, bentuk partisipasi harta, bentuk partisipasi tenaga kerja, dan bentuk partisipasi keterampilan. Bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan penanaman pohon di wilayah terdampak longsor yang memiliki bentuk partisipasi paling lengkap hanya Desa Tangkil dan Desa Sooro. Bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan sosialisasi daerah rawan longsor yang memiliki bentuk partisipasi paling lengkap hanya Desa Krajan, Desa Tangkil, dan Desa Sooro, sedangkan bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pelatihan kebencanaan yang memiliki bentuk partisipasi paling lengkap hanya Desa Krajan
Indonesia has a high vulnerability in natural disasters; therefore, disaster literacy is needed for the community, especially for teachers who can educate students in expanding disaster literacy. This study seeks to identify disaster literacy competence in high school geography teachers. This paper uses a descriptive percentage method. This study identifies the cognitive and psychomotor domains of natural disaster management and handling, starting from disaster mitigation, emergency response, and recovery and reconstruction stages. Based on the results of research on disaster literacy for high school geography teachers about disaster management, They have good disaster knowledge but need to be matched by skills in dealing with disasters. Also still misconceptions regarding knowledge about participation during the emergency response period.
