The article investigates the influence of the CrossFit system classes on the level and dynamics of the development of cadets’ power qualities in the process of training at a higher military educational institution (HMEI). The study involved cadets of the 1st-4th years (n=40) of the Odessa Military Academy, who were divided into experimental (EG, n=20) and control (CG, n=20) groups. EG cadets trained in the academy’s crossfit section, CG cadets trained according to the traditional physical training system at HMEI. Among the advantages of the CrossFit system are: the lack of equipment costs; a short period of time is required to do a set of exercises; a possibility of organizing outdoor training, in a gym, within a limited space; a possibility of organizing training with a large group of servicemen; a wide range of exercises eliminates the adaptation to the same type of physical load; a possibility of conducting training sessions with military servicemen with different levels of physical fitness. Analysis of the development of cadets’ power qualities was carried out according to the following exercises: pull-up, lifting by coup, lifting by strength on the crossbar, 24 kg kettlebell snatch, push-up on the parallel bars. It was found that that the level of power qualities development among cadets who trained according to the CrossFit system was significantly (p˂0.05) better at senior years of study than among cadets who trained according to the traditional physical training system. This allows us to argue about the need to implement crossfit means in the various forms of physical training of cadets of the academy in order to increase their physical readiness for future professional activities.
The aim is to study the level and dynamics of instructor officers’ somatic health during the course of employment at Ukrainian higher education institutions with special training conditions Materials and methods: The study involved male instructor officers of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Kyiv, Ukraine) of different age groups (n=103), who conduct training sessions with cadets – future police officers. The first age group (up to 25 years of age) comprised 8 instructors, the second one (26-30 years of age) – 11 instructors, the third one (31-35 years of age) – 14 instructors, the fourth one (36-40 years of age) – 16 instructors, the fifth one (41-45 years of age) – 19 instructors, the sixth one(46-50 years of age) – 17 instructors, and the seventh one (over 50 years of age) – 18 instructors. The study was conducted in 2017-2019. The level of instructor officers’ health was examined according to the methodology of G. L. Apanasenko, which provides for the calculation of body mass, vital, strength, and Robinson indices, as well as the duration of recovery of heart rate after standard exercise. The research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of literature sources, pedagogical testing and observation, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: Insufficient level of health was revealed among instructor officers of all age groups – the level of somatic health of the vast majority of instructional staff (over 75 %) is assessed as “low” and “below average”, more than 95 % of instructors are below the “safe zone” according to the methodology of G. L. Apanasenko. Conclusions: The research shows that the current system of physical training of higher education institutions with special training conditions is ineffective and needs to be refined in order to strengthen the health of instructor officers, increase their efficiency and, in general, improve the effectiveness of training future police officers at higher education institutions.
The article is devoted to the topical issue of improving the special physical training of cadets of higher military educational institutions by means of military-applied sports. The task of forming the psychophysiological readiness of officers for future military-professional activity in the process of training in a higher military educational institution is solved with the help of a number of disciplines of professional-oriented (military-professional) training, the leading of which is special physical training. According to the authors, classes in the sections of military-applied sports help prepare cadets for future military-professional activities. Military-sports all-around is one of the military-applied sports. The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of military-sports all-around classes on the indicators of special physical training of cadets of higher military educational institutions. Materials and methods. The study was conducted in the period from September 2017 to October 2019 on the basis of Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force and was aimed at determining the indicators of special physical fitness of cadets. The study involved 95 cadets of the control group, who studied under the current system of physical training and 36 cadets of the experimental group, who were engaged in the section of military-sports all-around. The age of the subjects ranged from 17 to 26 years. During the experiment, there was a study of indicators of special physical training of cadets by the results of special physical exercises (complex dexterity exercise, complex strength exercise, forced march for 5 km) and determining of the average score of special physical training. Results and discussion. The results of the study show an improvement in the results of the representatives of the experimental group in relation to the respondents of the control group: a complex exercise for dexterity by 2.1% (p <0.01), a complex strength exercise by 5.6% (p <0.01), a forced march for 5 km at 1.1% (p <0.01). The average score of special physical training of the experimental group of cadets after the experiment is statistically significantly better than the score of the control group representatives by 8.8% (p <0.05) and corresponds to the score "excellent". Conclusion. Military-sports all-around classes allow to improve the indicators of special physical training of university cadets
Aim: is to study the level and dynamics of the development of physical and psychological qualities of the cadets in the process of engagement in pentathlon classes. Materials and methods: The research involved 18-23 years old cadets (men) of the first-fourth years of training. The level of the cadets’ physical qualities was assessed by their results in the 100 m run, pull-ups, 3 km run, overcoming of the obstacle course. The level of the cadets’ psychological qualities was studied using the following methods: well-being-activity-mood methodol¬ogy; methods of self-assessment of psycho-emotional state; methods of determining the level of the development of volitional self-regulation of the individual. Results: The positive influence of pentathlon classes on the development of physical and psychological qualities in the cadets and the improvement of their psycho-emotional state was established. The greatest effect was found in exercises aimed at de¬veloping endurance and agility as well as coordination skills. Conclusions: It was found that pentathlon classes are more effective than the traditional physical training classes; they affect the level of the development of all cadets’ physical qualities. The high level of physical and psychological qualities of the cadets will help to improve their future professional activities.
Successful combat missions in local conflicts depend on the level of professional and physical training of servicemen. An effective means of physical training of military personnel are military-applied sports, which, on the one hand, provide for a high general level of physical fitness of military personnel, and on the other, form military-applied skills and abilities necessary in modern combat. The concept of development of physical training and sports in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period up to 2020, which was created taking into account the experience of combat operations in eastern Ukraine, NATO standards and the Euro-Atlantic integration vector of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, provides for approximation of physical training. introduction and development of military-applied sports. The article is devoted to the theoretical substantiation of the need to introduce military-applied sports into the educational process of the physical training of future officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Research methods: theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature, advanced experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, governing documents. It was found that the introduction of military-applied sports in the educational process for the physical training of future officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will contribute to an increase in their level of physical fitness, the upbringing of moral-volitional and psychological qualities, the formation of military-applied motor skills. In turn, this will contribute to the successful fulfillment of combat missions as intended in the process of military professional activity.
