Purpose. to analyse and generalize the competitive activity structure on the basis of the hierarchy of technical and tactical indicators of qualified basketball players in won and lost games by using the factor analysis methods. Methods. the study involved 96 professional basketball players who were national team players of countries that took 1-8 places in the final tournament of the European Basketball Championship 2017. technical and tactical indicators of their competitive activity were analysed for revealing and interpreting the results with the factor analysis methods. Results. the grouping of elements of the competitive activity structure of highly skilled basketball players was analysed. Groups with the highest value of factor capacity depending on the results of the game were determined. A significant difference in the structure of technical and tactical activity in the won and lost games was presented. Conclusions. the data obtained in the course of the study on the basis of factor analysis allowed us to present updated information on the competitive activity structure of highly skilled basketball players and to partially confirm the existing data.
Purpose. To develop an algorithm of special analysis for improving the training process, based on the identification of indicators of technical and tactical actions in the competitive activity of skilled volleyball players. Material and Methods. The study analyzed 2,688 technical and tactical indicators of the competitive activity of 56 players of national volleyball teams which played 6 games in the 2019 CEV Volleyball European Championship, taking into account the athletes’ playing roles, based on the methods of analysis of the competitive activity, analysis of generalization of practical experience, and theoretical modeling. Results. The study interpreted the total performance indicators of the competitive activity of skilled volleyball players, the indicators of technical and tactical activity in the competitive process, the ratio of performance indicators in skilled volleyball players in position zones. Conclusions. The modified algorithm of special analysis of indicators of technical and tactical actions has the following structure: analysis of quantitative characteristics of team, group and individual actions in attack and defense; chronological analysis of the competitive activity development in sets; analysis of playing actions in various zones of the court; comparative analysis of quantitative indicators of technical and tactical actions of volleyball players who directly counteract in the match; analysis of critical moments of the game, which is directly related to organizing and holding a particular match; interpretation and qualitative analysis of indicators of technical and tactical actions in a particular match. Based on the analysis of success and performance indicators of the competitive activity of Ukraine’s national volleyball team in the qualifying tournament of the 2019 European Championship (group F), it can be said that the modified algorithm of special analysis of indicators of technical and tactical actions showed high efficiency.
The study purpose was to examine, analyze, and generalize the competitive activity structure based on the hierarchy of technical and tactical indicators of skilled female basketball players in won and lost games using principal component analysis. Materials and methods. The study participants were 96 professional female basketball players, members of national teams of Spain, France, Belgium, Greece, Turkey, Latvia, Italy, and Slovakia, which took the 1st-8th places in the final tournament of the European Basketball Championship 2017. The study analyzed 16 main technical and tactical indicators of skilled female basketball players in 52 official games to examine and interpret the obtained results using principal component analysis. The total number of observations is 52. Results. The experimental indicators obtained during the study made it possible to examine and analyze the grouping of elements of the competitive activity structure of skilled female basketball players, to interpret the obtained results in order to define informative criteria for optimizing training and improving the competitive activity effectiveness. The study revealed considerable differences in the competitive activity structure in won and lost games: in accordance with the most significant indicators of factor loadings, the percentage of a sample of elements that correlate with one another is: for won games – 67.40%, for lost games – 69.52%. Conclusions. Principal component analysis is quite effective and informative for studying the competitive activity structure of skilled female basketball players. It was demonstrated that the greatest difficulties in studying the competitive activity structure in basketball using principal component analysis are the selection of indicators that do not duplicate one another and are not calculated, expert interpretation of the obtained results, and algorithmization of special analysis of technical and tactical indicators.
Objective. To analyze the current trends in the development of team sports taking into account the influence of globalization processes in high performance sport. Methods. Analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature and data on the Internet; pedagogical observations; and expert assessments. Results. The features of the evolution of team sports in the context of globalization of high performance sport are reviewed and examined based on the influence of the following factors: migration of the athletes and their concentration in national and international leagues, and sports training centers; professionalization and commercialization of national and international official competitions; politicization of official international competitions; socialization of athletes and informatization of society. The current trends in the development of team sports are identified on the basis of the data of expert assessments taking into account the influence of globalization processes in high performance sport. Possible ways are outlined to address the topical issues of the development of team sports in Ukraine and to overcome the critical situation of non-compliance with the international level combined with the existing high potential and victorious traditions of the past taking into account the knowledge accumulated by experts and the need for an appropriate interpretation of the existing experience of foreign countries. Conclusion. Increasing trends in popularity of team sports are revealed and significant influence of processes of globalization are emphasized on the basis of its leading factors. The analysis of the characteristics of the sports globalization and the results of the expert assessment make it possible to conclude that modern professional sport has undergone drastic changes. Its further progressive development is possible only taking into account the recognition of the existing influence of global factors and requires the modified approaches to build a multi-year training system, the appropriate scientific justification, and legal support provided by the governmental bodies. This will allow to develop sound practical technologies for creating educational-training and competitive processes in order to overcome the existing imbalance in team sports between winning traditions of the past and disappointing results at the current time. The study purpose was to substantiate, develop and test the effectiveness of the author’s program for physical training of young female basketball players in the pre-competition period of the macrocycle preparatory stage, and to experimentally test its effectiveness. Materials and methods. The subjects were 15 young female basketball players born in 2007-2008, third year of study (1st year of study in the basic training group), members of the All-Ukrainian Youth Basketball League (AUYBL), who participated in the experimental program to improve their physical fitness. Three tests on six indicators of physical fitness were conducted. The results of a consecutive experiment for young basketball players during their training in the camp were analyzed and interpreted. Results. The author’s program for physical training of young female basketball players was developed and implemented during the training camp in order to increase their level of physical fitness and preparation for participation in the AUYBL competitions. The results of the study, which were obtained during a series of experiments, allowed to examine and analyze six indicators of physical fitness, and to substantiate the effectiveness of modern approaches to physical training of young female basketball players in the pre-competition period of the macrocycle preparatory stage. They were based on the minimization of additional workload and focused concentration of female athletes on the quality of specific exercises in a limited period. Conclusions. The analysis of the results, the indicators of physical fitness of young female basketball players, allows to state that the use of the author’s program for physical training makes it possible to record the improvement of physical fitness on tests that have speed-strength and strength orientation, namely: high jump, long jump, run for 40 s, flexion-extension of the arms at thrust lying for 30 s. According to the indicators of speed tests (20 m run and 60 m sprint), no statistically significant differences were recorded, with a tendency to their improvement.
Planning of integral preparation for athletes of national billiard teams should be carried out comprehensively, taking into account the level of psychological preparedness of players for the main competitions of the mac- rocycle. The aim of the study is to determine the model indicators of elite billiards players` psychological readi- ness for the main competitions of the macrocycle. Research methods: to analyse and generalize special scientific and methodological literature, surveys, psychological, pedagogical, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: our study allows us to determine the model characteristics of the athletes` psychological preparedness during competitive stress and to assess the billiard players` mental state before and after undergoing a course of auto- genic training. The psychological parameters` dynamic of the billiard players` functional state such as "mental activation", "interest", "emotional tone", "tension" and "comfort", which significantly correlates with the special preparedness of athletes for the main competitions of the macrocycle. Scientifically substantiated indicators of balance function with and without visual control, productivity, stress resistance, volume of voluntary attention, efficiency of attention, and coefficient of motivational, volitional and typological component of elite athletes who show high sports results at main competitions of macrocycle. The obtained data allows to improve the psycho- logical control system of athletes while taking into account their individual characteristics.
Purpose: the high level of basketball players’ individual skill at the international arena requires radical changes in the approaches to the preparation of a high-quality reserve and the enlargement of the Ukrainian children's and youth basketball system, taking into account modern world trends in the evolution of the game. The study of practical experience and the generalization of the foreign specialists’ opinions will contribute to the buildout of a high-quality training process of young basketball players. The aim of the study is to summarize the modern features of the organization of children's and youth basketball based on the study of the professional opinions of foreign coaches. Material and methods: 10 foreign basketball coaches who have been engaged in the international youth competitions, who got high results in the championships of their own countries and trained young players in youth national teams, were chosen as qualified experts. They were proposed to answer 10 questions in special questionnaire regarding the modern trends in the youth basketball. Theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature, and Internet resources, questionnaires in Google form using the ranking method, and the method of expert evaluations were applied in the research. Results: the opinions of foreign coaches who successfully work with young basketball players were studied and summarized. That made it possible to determine the current trends in the development of children's and youth basketball. Consistency of experts' opinions was confirmed using Kendall's concordance coefficient, all examinations were confirmed, experts' opinions were agreed. Conclusions: the priority objects of the examination were formed according to the distribution of experts' evaluations, namely: preference was given to the experience of the USA as a reference point for the evolution of basketball; the young basketball players’ training system as a combination of education and training with multi-level selection on the basis of a basketball school (academy) is idealized; the overwhelming majority chose the focus on planning the educational and training process taking into account modern approaches to the psychological characteristics of young basketball players as a priority component; a common vision was expressed regarding the selection of players for the teams entered in the national championships, which should take place taking into account the combination of current skill and prospects for realizing individual potential; the existing need for scientific substantiation of a new style of management, taking into account the peculiarities, needs, motives and interests of the individual, is indicated.
