In einer friiheren Arbeit') haben wir eine neue Katalyse beschrieben, bei der u-Ketosauren in Aldehyde und Kohlendioxyd gespalten werden. Die Reaktion beruht auf Bildnng substituierter Iminosauren, diese spalten Kohlendioxyd ab, und die entstandenen Aldehyd-iniine setzen sich wieder mit Uberschussiger a-Ketosiiure nm, z. B.: t -W i r haben damals die Reaktion in der Hauptsache kinetisch untersucht. Uas interessanteste Ergebnis war die Feststellung einer Hemmnng durch das Reaktionsprodukt, den Aldehyd. Es zeigte sich jedoch, da5 die Katalyse noch erhebliche Mange1 besal3, d e r Katalysator wurde wahrend der Reaktion ziemlich schnell verbraucht, und die Umsetzung wurde erst bei hoheren Temperaturen Iebhaft. &fit diesen NLngeln haben wir uns daher jetzt besondera beschiiftigt.1. U n t e r s u c h u n g d e r N e b e n r e a k t i o n e n . Will man die vorzeitige Zerstorung des Katalysators vermeiden lernen, so mu8 man zunachst ihre Ursachen kennen. Perjodid: 0,2 g Imidazol-Derivat wurden in 10 ccm Eisessig gelost und mit einer Losung von 0,2 g Jod in 10 ccm Chloroform versetzt. Die Mischung blieb 1 Stunde rnhig stehen.
