The use of animation computers in today’s world is beneficial in many sectors. Animations development has changed over time and usage context, and illustrate phenomena and concepts that difficult to understand. Animations may not always be useful, however, and teachers using animations need to understand the importance of it. This paper focused on illustrating potential applications of animations in language learning and education, on identifying evidence- based principles for their design and use, and on proposing possible research works. The animation in animation involves the use of compelling graphics, including images, audio and video in the form of technology. However, the use of animations or computers is not limited to education alone, in addition to the education sector, the economic sector, the business sector, the medical sector. However, there is a great deal of debate about the effectiveness of computer animation in various fields. The general findings can be concluded that the role of computer animation is constructive in mostly in language learning.
21st Century learning requires a lot of skills that students need to have. One of them is the technology literacy skills and High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Cognitive skills in technology literacy are based on the use of digital technology to manage information, communication tools or networks to ensure a person’s success and function in society. Many researchers pointed out that mobile technologies in general and mobile phones in particular play a fundamental role in both teaching and learning process. Today, the application of mobile technology is widely promoted in the national education system. Therefore, this paper is a concept paper aimed at discussing the capabilities of mobile technology in improving students’ HOTS based on findings from previous studies. The literature review is based on publications from 2015 to the present. It is hoped this study can be used to benefit the educators while integrating the mobile technology in their teaching and learning, and to improve the HOTS in line with current developments.
Nowadays, language educators are continually investigating ways to offer a suitable learning environment, improve cognitive skills with the affordances of digital tools. Therefore, identifying the overview of the current trends and requirement needed in language learning is important toward improving the learner’s motivation. Based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, the cognitive level of language learning can be improved with certain learner’s consideration. However, the interconnected elements between higher-order thinking and learning tool in language material are known as an important component in language study, but, it is less discussed in the literature especially, in the Arabic Language. This paper presents a survey of recent achievements in offering attractive and effective learning environments for language learning. Based on our review, several research questions have been identified. We have also briefly discussed a few promising further research direction based on our literature survey.
School climate is a key factor in shaping a student’s identity. The fourth industrial revolution has been a hot topic in addressing today’s student challenges. Today’s reality shows that human resource development is a major focus of organizations in addressing environmental change. Social problem symptoms are often caused by demotivate environment among secondary students. The school climate has a great impact on student self-esteem. This is not only for oneself but for the organization as a whole, including humanity and the unity of ummah. The main objective of the study is to investigate the influence of school climate on student self-esteem based on the strategies and practices used at the school. This quantitative approach employs survey design using questionnaire as a research instrument. A total of 368 respondents from religious secondary schools were tested using descriptive and inferential statistics. The correlation between variebal physical enviroment, community and leadership were tested. The study found that school climate has a significant impact on student self-esteem. Then regression analysis was used to predict the contribution from each variebal. The contribution of this study is obvious as the resulting outcomes can be capitalized as guidelines as the level of student achievement influence by high school climate implementation. Therefore, school climate studies should be conducted in order to establish a concept that can be used by all types of schools in Malaysia to create a good identity. The implications of this study are to shape the good generation who are ready to complement their individual capabilities in addressing the challenging industry 4.0 challenges.
