Este artículo presenta en primer lugar una lectura de los indicadores socioeconómicos de la ciudad, que permitan argumentar la hipótesis de la importancia de nuevas formas de organización asociativa como alternativa para lograr un desarrollo económico inclusivo. Posteriormente se hace referencia a algunos elementos de la primera experiencia asociativa en la ciudad y que marcó un hito en cuanto a procesos organizativos en el sector metalmecánico de la pequeña y mediana empresa; y a partir de allí se reflexiona sobre la importancia de articular procesos formativos de asociatividad a la formulación, promoción y consolidación de una política de inclusión productiva, que impacte realmente en la dinámica económica y el contexto local.
En este trabajo se examina la movilidad social en el departamento de Córdoba entre los años 2003 y 1996, especialmente en las zonas urbanas. El fenómeno se analiza desde la perspectiva educativa y ocupacional, y se establecen relaciones entre el nivel educativo y la condición de pobreza, enfatizando en la transmisión intergeneracional de esta última a partir de la educación del jefe del hogar. El documento explora igualmente las relaciones entre los patrones de desarrollo económico del departamento, los mercados laborales y la estructura de oportunidades. Se construyen matrices de movilidad, y se utilizan escalares para crear indicadores que complementen el análisis de las asimetrías entre los distintos grupos sociales. Se encontró evidencia de movilidad absoluta y relativa en Córdoba, lo que quiere decir que los hijos tienen alta probabilidad de superar a los padres en una misma generación; sin embargo, las ganancias en movilidad se presentan en los niveles de educación menores al capital educativo básico (12 años), y, por tanto, pueden considerarse bajas e insuficientes para reducir la pobreza intergeneracional como consecuencia de las restricciones a la acumulación de capital humano.
Este artículo presenta los resultados de la pertinencia e incidencia de las políticas de competitividad agroindustrial en el contexto socioeconómico de El Carmen de Bolívar, utilizando la metodología de Enfoque Poblacional desarrollada por el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas (UNFPA) y la Universidad Externado de Colombia (UEC), la cual permite identificar los encadenamientos (balances, interacciones y tensiones) entre los programas, planes y proyectos y acciones con las variables más significativas del desarrollo social y económico del municipio.Palabras Clave: Competitividad, políticas públicas, desarrollo socio-económico.
