This article shows the place that radio occupies in everyday life through the systematic observation of a set of practices and discourses that structure the relationship with this means of communication in families of different sociocultural backgrounds in Mexico City. Within this framework, the author analyzes different scenarios, consumption times and styles, listening practices, and ways in which the discourse is appropriated.
Las comunidades virtuales, las redes sociales on line y el celular se han legitimado entre los adolescentes como las formas de inclusión social por excelencia. El temor a ser excluido no es un rasgo distintivo de los jóvenes, pero en su caso ser aceptado, repudiado o ignorado por “ser, o no ser parte de algo”, es una marca fundamental en el proceso de construcción de la identidad tanto on line como off line1 . Estar conectado implica esencialmente estar visible.
