The research intended to report the use of food as auxiliary didactic-pedagogical materials in the learning of students from 4 (four) classes of the 1st year of the Integrated High School of CEFET -MG (Federal Center of Technological Education of Minas Gerais), Campus I -Belo Horizonte -MG, in the Geography discipline, in the teaching of key concepts of Geology and Geomorphology. Among the many noticeable problems in the teaching of Geography, there is an impasse in the assimilation of some themes that demand a better appreciation of existing structures in nature, sometimes, the resources used are not always efficient for understanding to take place. So, we opted for a didactic-pedagogical vehicle (food) that associated curiosity, literal pleasure with "gustatory", collective discussion and teaching-learning by analogies.

.O PRESENTE ARTIGO TEM COMO OBJETIVO APRESENTAR UMA PROPOSTA DE PRÁTICA DE ENSINO EM GEOGRAFIA, COM ÊNFASE NA CLIMATOLOGIA GEOGRÁFICA, ATRAVÉS DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE FOTOGRAFIAS PARA A INTERPRETAÇÃO DOS FENÔMENOS CLIMÁTICOS, E, UTILIZANDO ESTAS IMAGENS COMO GATILHO (OU ELEMENTOS MOTIVADORES) PARA DESPERTAR UM RACIOCÍNIO CÔNSCIO DOS ASSUNTOS ABORDADOS EM SALA DE AULA. TAL EXPERIÊNCIA DIDÁTICA FOI REALIZADA COM ALUNOS DO 1º ANO DO ENSINO MÉDIO TÉCNICO DO CENTRO FEDERAL DE EDUCAÇÃO TECNOLÓGICA DE MINAS GERAIS (CEFET-MG), FUNDAMENTADA NA APRENDIZAGEM SIGNIFICATIVA DE AUSUBEL E OUTROS TEÓRICOS, DESTACANDO A IMPORTÂNCIA DO ENSINO-APRENDIZADO COLABORATIVO E APLICADO À REALIDADE VIVENCIADA PELOS ALUNOS EM SEU COTIDIANO, BUSCANDO APROXIMAR OS CONCEITOS TEÓRICOS E ABSTRATOS PARA UMA COMPREENSÃO MAIS APLICADA E ALIADA À PRÁTICA DISCENTE. COMO METODOLOGIA, DUAS PROFESSORAS DO DEPARTAMENTO DE GEOCIÊNCIAS (DGEO), DA REFERIDA INSTITUIÇÃO, SUPERVISIONARAM UMA DINÂMICA DIDÁTICO-PEDAGÓGICA COM 7 (SETE) TURMAS, UTILIZANDO COMO RECURSO PEDAGÓGICO FOTOGRAFIAS QUE RETRATASSEM FENÔMENOS CLIMÁTICOS ESPECÍFICOS (A EXEMPLO DO DERRETIMENTO DA NEVE NO DESERTO DO SAARA). O INTUITO FOI ESTIMULAR O APRENDIZADO COLABORATIVO ENTRE OS SEUS ALUNOS, E BUSCANDO ROMPER COM A VISÃO INICIAL SOBRE O FATO QUE, PARA MUITOS ALUNOS E ATÉ PROFESSORES, O APRENDIZADO DESTES TEMAS CLIMÁTICOS, MUITAS VEZES SÃO CONSIDERADOS COMO “ABSTRATOS E COMPLEXOS” POR ALUNOS E ATÉ PROFESSORES. COMO ENCERRAMENTO DESTA PROPOSTA DIDÁTICA, HOUVE A DISCUSSÃO E A ANÁLISE DOS RESULTADOS, CONSIDERADA COMO POSITIVA E SIGNIFICATIVA PELOS DOCENTES, FICANDO EVIDENCIADO O MAIOR ENVOLVIMENTO E DESENVOLVIMENTO DA AUTONOMIA DOS ALUNOS ENVOLVIDOS DIANTE DESTE TEMA.
This work aims to show the feasibility of introducing basic cartographic concepts in the first year of high school, with simple resources, contributing to the process of knowledge construction by the young person himself by stimulating his curiosity. For this, a theoretical study was made on the theme presented here, then activities were given in the classroom and, later, the diagnosis and debate of the results obtained were carried out. Cartographic literacy, demonstrated in these activities, predisposes the student to work his competence in this form of language, qualifying him/her to make multiple readings of the world through the most disparate cartographic representations possible. Thus, after the didactic sequence used in mediation with the students, in addition to encouraging the reading of maps, the subjects also had the opportunity to create their own fantasy maps. The work was based on David Ausubel's Theory of Significant Learning and the parameters present also in Lev Vygotsky's Historical-Cultural Theory and Henri Wallon's Theory of Development were also used.
