Este estudo tem o objetivo de compreender a dinâmica apresentada nos registros de acidentes de trabalho no setor sucroalcooleiro alagoano entre os anos de 2012 a 2021. A investigação aqui empreendida se vale de dados secundários levantados junto à Plataforma Smartlab e à bases oficiais do governo ligadas ao mercado de trabalho formal. Os resultados indicam que o setor sucroalcooleiro alagoano lidera o ranking acidentário estadual e a maior parcela dos acidentes registrados estão localizados na área agrícola do complexo produtivo. Também foi visualizada uma redução nos registros de acidentes ao longo do período e tal acontecimento pode se relacionar com: melhorias nas condições de trabalho, aumento da subnotificação e redução da força de trabalho. Espera-se com essa investigação contribuir para a produção de conhecimento sobre um setor que apresenta um histórico de agravos a saúde do trabalhador.
Resumo: A Política Nacional de Assistência Social, implantada no país desde 2004, tem entre suas diretrizes a sua descentralização política e administrativa. Este processo de descentralização refere-se à transferência para os níveis subnacionais de tarefas, recursos e poder dentro de um pacto federalista existente. Observando a forma como se deu o processo de descentralização, concluímos que o SUAS é estruturado com muitas tarefas e responsabilidades de financiamento a cargo dos municípios, com pouca participação de nível estadual e com as orientações gerais estabelecidas pela União, mas sem o fornecimento de recursos adequados a partir desta esfera de governo.
