This article is the result of virtual learning research with research subjects of two groups of students and aims to determine the effectiveness of metacognitive learning so that the components of metacognition in solving problems can be analyzed. The research begins with a pre-test followed by virtual learning and ends with post-test and metacognition questionnaires. During the post-test, students' activities in solving them were observed through awareness, evaluation, and regulation while the metacognition questionnaire consisted of questions about metacognition components. The results of the data analysis show that students who do metacognition, their learning outcomes increase so that there is a relationship between the components of metacognition and the ability to solve problems. This relationship is expressed by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.419 with the regression equation y = 61.02 + 0.287x. This means that each metacognition independent variable can increase the average problem solving dependent variable by 0.287 units. Statistically, metacognitive learning is quite effective in solving problems. Based on these final results it can be recommended that virtual learning with a metacognitive model can be used as a new way and becomes a strong motivation for students to improve their ability to solve problems. Garbage becomes a problem, when waste is perceived as useless material, creates bad smells, is harmful to the environment, causes pollution to the surrounding environment, invites disease bacteria, kills marine life, spoils the view, and many other negative perceptions. One strategy for dealing with waste is to teach children at SMP Negeri 2 Wagir, Sukodadi Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency about turning waste into useful things, namely by making a simple composter using used bottles that function as a means of converting organic waste (leaves and paper) into solid and liquid fertilizers. This service activity focuses on organic waste that can be turned into compost (solid fertilizer and liquid fertilizer). The skill of making compost is actually simple, but it must be taught because it turns out that not many children know about it, let alone practice it in everyday life. The purpose of this activity is to study the method and process of making compost by means of anaerobic fermentation with the help of EM4 bioactivator as decomposing bacteria and brown sugar for bacterial food, and to determine optimal operating conditions in order to obtain maximum compost both qualitatively and quantitatively. The method in this activity goes through 5 stages, namely the first stage is presentation of the material, the second stage is the practice of making a simple composter using used bottles, the third stage is making composter liquid consisting of EM4 bioactivator, sugar and water, the fourth stage is mixing organic waste with composter liquid , the fifth stage is forcing the trash into the bottle. The results of the activities that have been carried out are training in making compost as a result of processing organic waste. Based on the activities that have been carried out, students are able to practice environmentally friendly waste management both at school and in everyday life.
Villagers of Waringinsari, Sukoharjo sub-district, Pringsewu district, Lampung province grows and develops from voluntary migrants from Java. They are a group of marginalized people economically, politically, socially and culturally, so they expected so much when migrating to get a better life for his family. Residents who occupy Waringinsari village as the voluntary migrants are from different regions. They were farmers who had come from the felds of Java (Central, East and West) to gain ground as a new livelihood. The question is why with all kinds of differences in the Javanese sub-culture they could then dissolve together, and then they feel just as Javanese (in the sense of not distinguishing which Javanese origin). The research was carried out to get an answer whether janengan contributing music as media of entertainment, communication and propagation for villagers of voluntary migrants in the Waringinsari village, Suhoharjo Sub-district, Pringsewu district, Lampung province. This research is qualitative. The data obtained show that janengan music does really as alternative music that is able to show the identity of the people of Java. Janengan identifes the Javanese sub-culture from Kebumen which later became the common property of the voluntary migrants. They feel a sense of musical art is proven fact that until now is still a viable alternative entertainment. Janengan also contribute to the cohesiveness, and was able to eliminate the bulkhead sub-culture of their respective regions of origin. Music janengan is able to be an alternative as a cheap entertainment media, as a means of gathering spontaneous migrants thus establish communication in the period since the beginning of the village to the present, the past 60 years. In addition, the content ofthe janengan music lyric also provide a moral message that as human beings they are not arrogant, and ableto follow prophets. Janengan is able to instill the values to the younger generation so that they can becomegood human in morality as told in the poem of janengan.
Higher-order thinking skills in 21st century learning are a requirement, so that students are able to think critically, creatively, collaboratively and communicatively. Focusing on these demands, often the learning process ignores the basic needs of students, namely happiness. Kebudiutamaan course is one of the institutional courses that must be taken by students of all study programs at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. As with other study programs, students of the Mathematics Education Study Program also take this course. Regarding the basic needs of students, namely being happy, in taking the Virtue Course, Mathematics Education students also need fun learning. The Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach is intended to create fun learning in the learning activities of the Civics course. This study used quantitative approach with survey data (primary) with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used porpusive sampling. Data collection used self-administered questionaires. The results of the non-parametric statistical test Chi-square test (χ2) with a significance level of 5%, show that there is a significant difference in the number of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program in the Kebudiutamaan subject. Students are happy with learning TPACK Plus than those who are not, and there is an increase in critical thinking skills, creative, communicative and able to work collaboratively, which is shown by the product of high-quality material content in the form of short videos.
