INTRODUÇÃO:Com o advento da pandemia de COVID-19, segundo o estudo Global Burden of Disease de 2020, houve aumento de 27,6% no número de pessoas com Transtorno Depressivo Maior em todo o mundo no referido ano. Dito isso, é importante destacar como papel da equipe de Saúde da Família o dever de abordar os pacientes de forma holística, incluindo a esfera da saúde mental, segundo o Princípio da Integralidade da Atenção, com o objetivo de fornecer o contato e o acolhimento do indivíduo em sofrimento psíquico. Dessa forma, o combate à depressão tem se configurado como um desafio à saúde pública no contexto da pandemia. OBJETIVO: Analisar a prevalência de depressão entre a população brasileira, no ano de 2021. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: O presente estudo é caracterizado como quantitativo, descritivo e correlacional, com dados referentes às Capitais e ao Distrito Federal (DF), por meio dos quais será avaliada a porcentagem de brasileiros, com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos, que referiram diagnóstico de depressão no ano de 2021. As informações procedem da Vigilância de Fatores de Risco e Proteção para Doenças Crônicas por Inquérito Telefônico (VIGITEL), base de dados do Ministério da Saúde. RESULTADOS: Entre as capitais e o DF, a cidade com a menor prevalência de depressão foi Belém, tendo em vista que cerca de 7,2% dos adultos afirmaram ter sido diagnosticados com essa enfermidade no ano de 2021. Por outro lado, a maior frequência entre as localidades incluídas na pesquisa corresponde a Porto Alegre, com um número aproximado de 17,5% da população, a partir dos 18 anos, referindo diagnóstico de depressão. A média das proporções entre os locais investigados ficou em torno de 11,5%. CONCLUSÃO: Segundo a OMS, a prevalência de depressão na população mundial é de 4,4%. Conclui-se, portanto, que parcela expressiva da população brasileira possui diagnóstico de depressão, uma vez que a média entre as capitais e o DF foi de aproximadamente 11,5%, o que representa um valor 7,1% acima da média global. Assim, é necessária a criação de estratégias eficientes, inclusive pelas equipes de Saúde da Família, no cuidado do paciente com depressão.Palavras-chave: Transtorno depressivo, Pandemia, Saúde mental, Sofrimento psíquico, Princípio da integralidade da atenção.
INTRODUÇÃO:A Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) é um conjunto de ações criadas com o objetivo de aprimorar o custo-efetividade das equipes de Saúde da Família. Na atuação desses profissionais, há grupos específicos da população considerados prioritários, como os portadores de Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica (HAS), a qual é considerada uma doença crônica não-transmissível (DCNT), cujos prevenção e controle são fundamentais. Tal enfermidade se tornou mais prevalente nos últimos anos e é considerada principal fator de risco para várias doenças cardiovasculares, como insuficiência cardíaca, insuficiência renal e acidente vascular cerebral, segundo o Ministério da Saúde. OBJETIVO: Analisar a prevalência de HAS na população adulta das capitais e do Distrito Federal (DF). METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, correlacional, que utilizará dados referentes às Capitais e ao DF, no qual será avaliada a porcentagem da população diagnosticada com HAS, no ano de 2021. Delimitação: população a partir dos 18 anos. As informações procedem da Vigilância de Fatores de Risco e Proteção para Doenças Crônicas por Inquérito Telefônico (VIGITEL), pesquisa desenvolvida pelo Ministério da Saúde. RESULTADOS: No ano de 2021, o percentual de adultos que declararam ter sido diagnosticados com HAS foi de, aproximadamente, 32% no Rio de Janeiro, cidade com a maior proporção entre as capitais e o DF. Em contrapartida, São Luís teve os melhores números entre os locais pesquisados, uma vez que 19,2% da população adulta alegou ter diagnóstico de hipertensão. Cabe ressaltar que a média de todas as localidades pesquisadas pelo VIGITEL de 2021 foi de cerca de 24,9%. CONCLUSÃO: Assim, é importante salientar que, todos os anos, por volta de 400 mil brasileiros morrem de doenças cardiovasculares, o que representa o equivalente a 30% de todas as mortes no Brasil, segundo a Sociedade Brasileira de Cardiologia. Tais números estão diretamente relacionados às altas taxas de HAS entre a população brasileira, que fica em uma média de 24,9% nas capitais e no DF. Portanto, é necessário um maior enfoque nessa parcela da população, por meio da criação de medidas mais eficazes na prevenção e no acompanhamento da hipertensão no país.
