The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the Letter Management Application (AMS) in managing the incoming and outgoing mail at PT PLN (Persero) in the West Sumatra region as well as the obstacles faced in the management of incoming and outgoing mail electronically. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Determination of informants in the study was carried out with purposive sampling technique that aims to get the information obtained more targeted because the information has been determined in advance. Data retrieval is done through observation, interviews and documentation, with Model Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of AMS in the West Sumatra Regional Electric Company had been carried out well but it had not been run optimally. It was seen that there was still a long time to complete the incoming and outgoing letters, even though the process of entering the letter data into the Letter Management Application did not take a long time but the letter arrived at the hands of consumers. it still takes a long time, besides that there is a discrepancy between the implementation of the procedure of incoming and outgoing mail with the theory set, the lack of technical guidance or special training in handling incoming and outgoing mail using the Letter Management Application. Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability in the world.
There is correlation between HDL cholesterol in acute thrombotic patients and the functional degree of the NIHSS.
The lower rate of HDL cholesterol is related to the higher NIHSS score or the higher level of stroke severity.
ABSTRACT
Introduction: Stroke is one of the world’s leading causes of death and disability. Acute thrombotic stroke accounts for 87% of all stroke cases. The study of the correlation between high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels and acute thrombotic stroke is still limited, especially on the relationship between HDL levels and the degree of functional stroke. Objective: This study aimed to prove a correlation between HDL cholesterol and the functional scale measured by the NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) in acute thrombotic stroke. Methods: The design study was cross-sectional, with sampling by consecutive admission based on inclusion and exclusion criteria in the neurological ward (Seruni A) at Dr.Soetomo General Academic Hospital, Surabaya. The NIHSS was used to determine the degree of functional scale, and HDL levels were measured by enzymatic endpoint methods. Results: From the 40 subjects studied, 16 (40%) had normal HDL levels of ≥ 40 mg/dL with an NIHSS score between 0–10, and 24 (60%) had lower HDL levels of ≤ 40 mg/dL with an NUHSS score between 0–20. There were significant results in this study (r = 0.391 and p = 0.013). Conclusion: There was a negative correlation between HDL cholesterol levels and the functional scale measured by the NIHSS in acute thrombotic stroke patients.
Background: Non-communicable diseases keep increase numbers in both developed and developing countries such as gout arthritis. Gouty arthritis is an inflammation of the joints caused by high levels of uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia). Most people with gout arthritis complain of pain in the joints.Purpose: To determine the effect of cloves water warm compress (syzygium aromaticum) on reducing pain among elderly with gouty arthritisMethod: This study used a quasi-experimental pre and post test without control (self-control) with 11 participants. The data analysis used was the Dependent T test. As for preparing the ingredients, using 5 grams of cloves boiled with 300 cc to boil, let stand for about 1-3 minutes until a warm temperature (45 - 50 0C), then observe / measure the patient's pain level. After measuring the pain scale, then apply a compress using a clean cloth on the affected joint for 20 minutes, then measure the pain scale again. This action performs every evening (once) at bedtime repeatedly for 5 consecutive days. Results: Showed that the intensity of pain before intervention was 6.73 and the average pain intensity after intervention was 3.00. The result of the t-test is 14,907 with a p-value of 0,000 <α (0.05).Conclusion: The effect had a significantly greater reduction in pain by clove water warm compresses among elderly with gouty arthritis.
