Physical conditions are considered a very important foundation for developing techniques. The aim of this study to determine the contribution of physical condition to Gymnastic basic skill. This Study is survey and used descriptive qualitative method. 82 students, whose aged 18-19 years and study in Sport Coaching Education Department, Sport Science Faculty of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, recruited as samples. Data collection techniques used tests and measurements of biomotor and gymnastic basic skills. Data analysis techniques using linear regresion. The results showed that there is significant effect of physical condition with basic skill of Gymnastics
Physical conditioning was considered as a strong foundation for developing techniques from different fields. The aims of this study was to determine the impact of physical conditioning in parenting students or athletes gymnastic basic skills. The study was a surveyed research. The study sampling was 82 students aged between 18-19 years from Sport sciences, exactly coaching sciences. Data collection methods used checks and measurements of bio motor and gymnastic fundamental skills. Data analysis using correlation and linear regression to predict the future competence. The results showed that: there was significant correlation between the physical conditioning items and gymnastics basics skills, but there is also strong significant linear regression (p: .032<.05) from physical conditioning with basic skill of Gymnastics. The standing balance (r = .728) and broad jump (r = .751) were found more influenced for gymnastic basic skills. There was a great significant different between the pre-test and posttest gymnastic basic skills means with p value < .001. The high standard deviation between the items showed the different adaptation of the subjects according to the physical conditioning. In conclusion physical conditioning was found as parenting for developing the gymnastic basic skills.
THE EFFECT OF IMAGERY EXERCISE AND COORDINATION ON BEGINNER TENNIS PLAYER’S FOREHAND DRIVE SKILL AbstractThis study aims to determine: (1) the difference of effect between the imagery exercise using script and video on the forehand drive skill of beginner tennis players, (2) the difference of forehand drive skill of beginner tennis players with high and low coordination, and (3) the interaction between the imagery exercise and the coordination on the forehand drive skill of beginner tennis players. The method of research was experimental with 2 x 2 factorial designs. Sample of research was 32 students of Physical Education Health and Recreation Study Program of The Faculty Sport ScienceUniversitas Negeri Yopgyakarta who take tennis lesson which taking with purposive random sampling technique. Data were obtained by a test and measurement on the coordination using eye-hand coordination test. Besides, forehand drive skills measurement was obtained by using Hewitt Tennis Test. The data analysis technique used was the two lines variant analysis (ANAVA) followed by pairwise comparisons test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this research indicate that: (1) there is a significant difference between imagery exercise using script and video on forehand drive skill. (2) there is a difference of forehand drive skills between beginner tennis players with high and low coordination. (3) there is an interaction between imagery exercise and coordination on forehand drive sklill of beginner tennis player. Keywords: imagery exercise, coordination, tennis, forehand drive skill.
Analysis and evaluation of physical condition (agility) of athlete of special sport in Kebumen District Central Java Province AbstractThis article aims to analyze and evaluate the quality of the practice result through the test and measurement especially agility biomotor component in the superior sports branch in Kebumen Regency, Central Java. This research to reveal the data in this article refers to the mixing method research design (evaluation research). There is a statistic descriptive analysis of agility, which is known that the average of the agility of the research subject is 35. The subject lowest of the agility is 25, while the maximum of the agility reached is 46. The spread of research subject percentage showed that the research subject mostly has an the agility good category around 1 (one ) person (4,17%), average category around 3 (three) person (12,50%), much less around 9 (nine) person (37,50%), while the other 11 (elephent) is (45,83%) it includes the very low level. The evaluation of the data analysis form showed above is one of the research team recommendation in the practice to increase the agility is by zig-zag run and shuttle run exercises which are usually done in the form of pairs. The practice frequency is 3 – 4 times a week with practicing 80 – 90% intensity with 4 times repetition with the number of sets of 3 with a break time of 1: 4 and interval training 4 in a fast exercise rhythm.
