This study was conducted to investigate the perspectives of sports science students on factors affecting distance learning in the setting of Indonesian higher education institutions (HEIs). This study proposed an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) with eight variables; experience, enjoyment, self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, intention to use, and actual use. An online survey was used to collect data from 1291 respondents. The structural model was examined through the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The multi-group analysis (MGA) was conducted to understand the role of geographical areas in moderating all hypothetical relationships. The findings show that the respondents were not excited about online learning due to weak means (below 3) for most items of five variables; enjoyment, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and intention to use. All relationships were supported except the relationship between experience and perceived usefulness. The strongest significant relationship emerged between intention to use and actual use. Meanwhile, the least significant relationship was found between self-efficacy and perceived usefulness. Three out of 12 hypotheses were confirmed regarding the differences of geographical areas (rural and urban) regarding all relationship paths. The findings add to a deeper understanding of the acceptability of distance learning during pandemics like COVID-19.
Bahasa Indonesia is one of the compulsory subjects taught in elementary school and important to be mastered because it aims for every student to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing in accordance with the Indonesian rules is good and true. This study aims to investigeenhanging of 3rd grade primary students’ writing skill after implementation think talk write learning model in Bahasa Indonesia class. Research method in this study is experiment method. The research design used in this research is one-group pretest-posttest design, experimental research conducted in one group only without comparison group and the population subjects in this study were 35 students of 3rd grade elementary school in Pekanbaru. The result of this study is data of pretest and posttest, on the average pretest score of 60.94 with the category of skilled enough then on posttest increased to 75.67 with skilled category. Thus, it can be concluded that the think talk write learning model can influence the narrative writing skill of 3rd grade elementary school in Pekanbaru.
Problems in accuracy top throws are often carried out by students in softball games so the need for alternative methods to improve them are the method massed practice and distributed practice. This study aims to find out: (1) effect of learning methods massed practice and distributed practice on the accuracy in conducting top throws on male students of extracurricular softball class X at Bhina Karya Karanganyar Vocational School 2014/2015 Academic Year, and (2) the influence between the method of practicing massed practice and distributed practice on the accuracy in carrying out throws on male students. This research is an experimental research using pre-test-post-test design with technique pairing ordinal. The sample groups of this study were 30 male students of extracurricular softball class X. Data analysis used different tests: (1) before being given treat; (2) after being treat; and (3) differences in percentage increase between groups. The results of the study are (1) the effect of learning massed practice and distributed practice on the ability of the accuracy of throws on balls of softball, with the results of count = 4.740 > t table = 2.145; and (2) the learning method massed practice has a better effect than the exercise of distributed practice on the ability to accurately throw balls of softball, with an increase massed practice = 29,054%> distributed practice = 14,085%. The conclusions of the study are (1) there are differences in the influence of learning massed practice and distributed practice on the ability of the accuracy of the throws on balls softball; and (2) learning method massed practice has a better effect than exercises including distributed practice on the ability to accurately throw balls of softball.
This research aims at finding the way to develop the assessment for learning of the humanistic (AfL-H) model in Mathematics at elementary schools. This is developmental research of the Hopkins & Clark model. The experimental subjects are 67 mathematics teachers and 375 elementary students in Grade. The data were analyzed in two stages using qualitative and quantitative methods. The experiment of the AfL-H model uses repeated measures analysis. The research results indicate that the AfL-H model developed here has the following main characteristics: 1. the learning provides greater fairness and respects all (learners), and 2. The assessment respects each student's varied abilities based on their own abilities. Several findings in this research are: (1) students receive greater respects regarding the abilities they have in the assessment; (2) the information obtained using the AfL-H model is accurate and as actually needed by students, (3) the application of the AfL-H model in mathematics learning improves student's motivation, confidence, self-awareness, behavior during learning, and ability in Mathematics, and (4) students' learning progress is shown by individual and class profiles.
