This study aims to investigate the effect of the application of the 7E Learning Cycle Model to the learning outcomes of the Basic Science Concepts of SD 2. This research is a quasi experimental study with a Randomized pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students of PGSD semester 2 STKIP ADZKIA Padang in the 2018/2019 school year. Samples were taken at random so one class was chosen as the experimental class and one class as the control class. The experimental class uses the Learning Cycle 7 E model while the control class uses the conventional model. The data collection technique is in the form of a learning outcome test (cognitive). The analysis of the research results uses the t test at a significance level of 5%. Based on the t test conducted, it was found that there were differences in student learning outcomes using learning with the learning model Cycle7E with conventional learning. Learning with Learning Cycle 7 E model gives an effect of 72% (moderate) to the improvement of student learning outcomes in the Basic Science Concept Course.
The Learning Cylce Model is a contructivist instructional model whether student use their prior knowledge and experiences to construct their thinking. The purpose of this study is to review the development and application of Learning cycle model especially in the last 1 decade. Technique of collecting data was through literature study: obtained some comparisons of phases of Learning cycle models such as 3E Learning Cycle Models, 5E learning cycle model, and 7 E learning cycle models. These models are related to each other in their developments. In addition, each of them has its own characteristic.This study found that 7E LC Models can enhance educational effects : student’s Achievement, critical thinking, Science process Skills and Moral reasoning. Therefore, educators, practitioner and researcher should be supported to implement the Learning Cycle Model in Science Teaching and Learning.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap pemahanan konsep IPA siswa Kelas V SDIT Adzkia Padang. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan faktorial 2 x 2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDIT Adzkia Padang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Thaif 1 dan kelas V Thoif 2. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket motivasi dan pemahaman konsep. Data dianalisis dengan Anava, untuk pengujian hipotesis terdapat nilai Fhitung = 0,100 < Ftabel = 4,03, hal ini berarti H0 diterima artinya pemahaman konsep IPA siswa tidak bergantung pada motivasi belajar, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi secara signifikan motivasi belajar terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA.
