The era of Society 5.0 is also known as the era of super smart society. The concept of society in the era of Society 5.0 is centered on humans based on technology. Therefore, life skills are needed, known as the 4Cs (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration). This condition also applies in the world of education, especially health education. Inter Professional Education (IPE) is a method of collaborative practice between two or more health professions that aims to improve collaboration capabilities and the quality of health services. Ideally, IPE has started at the stage of academic education in order to create Inter Professional Collaboration (IPC) in providing health services. Each profession that should collaborate has different competency targets and activities. Virtual patient is one of the learning media that can be developed to facilitate these differences. So that this media is in line with virtual learning that characterizes the era of society 5.0. This study aims to implement virtual patients in Inter Professional Education involving three health faculties, namely the faculty of medicine, faculty of nursing and faculty of pharmacy. The results of the study found that virtual patients are useful for bridging the competencies that must be achieved in inter professional learning.
After completing the Nursing Professional Education Program (NPEP), ideally all of the nursing students had mastered the nursing skills' competency. However, the reality of these conditions might be different. Many factors have been found which affect the achievement of the nursing skills' competency. This study aims to identify the inhibiting factors of nursing students' skills competencies during NPEP in the Faculty of Nursing USU. This is a descriptive study. Samples in this study were 25 students who had completed NPEP. Data were collected by interviewing process. Results of the study were presented in narrative method. The results showed that the biggest inhibitor in achieving competency was the non-nursing tasks assigned by the hospital's staff; other inhibitors were the nursing students' personal problems, the clinical preceptors, unit's equipment and other professions. The nursing students suggested that faculty of nursing should provide the hospital pre-clinic program before enrolling NPEP, so that they would have the better understanding about the real situations in the hospital and could minimize such inhibitors.
Kerusakan lingkungan salah satunya disebabkan oleh pencemaran lingkungan karena penumpukan sampah yang sampah yang sulit untuk diurai kembali (anorganik). Contoh sampah anorganik yang membutuhkan waktu puluhan tahun untuk dapat terurai adalah adalah plastik. Program kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Lingkungan II Kelurahan Asam Kumbang Medan agar mau berpartisipasi untuk mengelola sampah menjadi kerajinan tangan yang bernilai ekonomis. Selama ini ibu-ibu sudah aktif terlibat dalam pengumpulan sampah plastik kemasan, namun melalui pemberdayaan ini, diharapkan ibu-ibu bukan hanya berpatisipasi dalam pengumpulan sampahnya tetapi juga diharapkan dapat berpartisipasi dalam pembuatan kerajinannya. Produk yang dihasilkan sangat beragam, selain untuk dipakai sendiri, hasilnya juga dapat dijual yang tentunya memberi nilai ekonomis dan dapat menjadi tambahan penghasilan buat keluarga.
