Biofertilizer contains microorganisms which promote the adequate supply of nutrients to the host plants and ensure their proper development of growth and regulation in their physiology. They are in being promoted to harvest the naturally available nutrients and biological system of nutrients mobilization. This research aims to determine the effect of Silitech biofertilizers on soil fertility, heavy metal reduction and eggplant yields. The study was conducted in Piyungan District–Bantul on dry season of 2019. Research design was used a Randomized Complete Block Design with 7 treatments and 4 replications. Each treatment was applied in a plot size 8 m x 1.2 m and given a plastic mulch. The kind of treatments are: P0 (Control), P1 (100% NPK based on fertilizer recommendation), P2 (100% Biofertilizer), P3 (Biofertilizer + 25% NPK), P4 (Biofertilizer + 50% NPK), P5 (Biofertilizer + 75% NPK), P6 (Biofertilizer + 100% NPK). The result of study showed that application of Biofertilizer +75%NPK had a significant effect on increasing eggplant yield., dry plant biomass and the levels of C, N, P and K about 26,92 - 32,76% compare to the control treatment as well as increasing some micro elements, such as Ca, Mg, B, Zn and Mo compared to the treatment that given only 100% biological fertilizer and Biological fertilizer + 25% NPK but it was not significantly different from the application of Biological fertilizer + 100% NPK. Moreover, The Silitech biofertilizer also can reduce the levels of heavy metals content of Hg, Pb and Cd as much as 30.76-46.15%, 29.45-39.81% and 35.1-47.5% respectively. which indicated by the decreased their content after harvesting eggplant.
Salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi adalah bawang merah. Produksi bawang merah nasional yang masih rendah disebabkan karena rentannya bawang merah terhadap cuaca, hama dan penyakit, bawang merah juga gampang rusak dan mengalami susut bobot tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan produksi umbi bawang merah varietas Bima Brebes pada dua jenis lahan dengan perbedaan tingkat kemasaman tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Instalasi Penelitian dan Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian Banyakan, Bantul, Yogyakarta pada bulan Maret-Mei 2022. Dua jenis lahan dengan perbedaan tingkat kemasaman diamati pengaruhnya terhadap hasil umbi bawang merah, yaitu Lahan dengan pH netral (N), dan Lahan dengan pH tanah bersifat masam (M). Pengamatan meliputi berat umbi basah per tanaman, jumlah umbi per tanaman, produksi per m2 dan produksi per hektar dengan menggunakan 24 tanaman sampel untuk setiap perlakuan dan diuji dengan menggunakan uji t. Rerata berat umbi basah pada lahan dengan pH netral sebesar 68,2 g/tanaman nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan tanah dengan sifat masam yang hanya mencapai 47 g/tanaman. Demikian pula jumlah umbi bawang merah pada lahan dengan pH netral sebanyak 9,25 umbi nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan tanah dengan sifat masam yang hanya mencapai 7,25 umbi. pH tanah mempengaruhi keseimbangan hara dan ketersediaannya untuk tanaman. Pada tanah yang bersifat masam beberapa hara menjadi berkurang kelarutannya dalam tanah dan tidak tersedia bagi tanaman. Sebaliknya pada pH tanah yang netral sebagian besar hara dalam keadaan tersedia bagi tanaman sehingga memungkinkan tanaman menyerap hara lebih optimal yang berpengaruh pada proses fotosintesis dan pembentukan umbi bawang merah
The research about the chlorophyll content, weight loss, and production of pakcoy in several farming system has been conducted in Yogyakarta AIAT in Juni – December 2016. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with four treatments and six replications. The treatment used were four pakcoy farming system ie. beds, verticulture, polybags, and hydroponics. The results showed that: 1) The beds and hydroponic farming system produce the highest chlorophyll content compared to the other two treatments (0.64 mg / 100g). 2) On 1 - 5 days after harvest, beds farming system had the highest shrinkage (40 - 80%). 3) The hydroponic farming system produce the lowest weight loss after 5 day harvest (20%) .4) From the physical appearance, on the sixth day after harvest, pakcoy plants in all ways of farming not suitable for consumption. 5) The verticulture farming system produce the highest total harvest weight compared to the other three farming system ie. 5.91 kg /2m2. 5) The verticulture farming system produce the highest total harvest weight compared to the other three farming system ie. 5.91 kg / 2m2.
