Die meisten Infektionskrankheiten werden, von einigen bekannten Ausnahmen abgesehen, von einer Vermehrung der weißen Blutkörperchen, und zwar fast ausschließlich der neutrophilen, polymorphkernigen begleitet. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß die Leukocytose in der Regel um so hochgradiger ist, je schwerer die Krankheit, je schwerer die Infektion ist. Ausnahmen kommen wie bei jeder Regel, so natürlich auch hier vor. Aber die Leukocytose zeigt mindestens ebensoviel Gesetzmäßigkeit wie andere Kardinalsymptome von Infektionen, z. B. Fieber und Puisbeschleunigung. Unsere Untersuchungen über die infektiöse" Leukoeytose erstrecken sich hauptsächlich auf die Appendicitis. Der Einfluß der Schwere der Infektion auf die Höhe der Leukocytose geht aus folgenden Zahlen hervor.1) Bei den in den Jahren 1905 und 1906 im Frühstadium (d. h. in den ersten zwei Krankheitstagen) auf unserer Abteilung eingelieferten Füllen von Appendicitis wurden die Durchschnittswerte der bei der Aufnahme festgestellten Leukocytenzahlen berechnet. Die Leukocytose betrug nun bei den 72 leichten Fällen im Durchschnitt 14000 » n 45

Monti (69) unterscheidet das Adenoma sebaceum disseminatum und circumscripture. Die disseminierten oder multiplen Ta]gdrfisenadenome sind bisher nur im Gesicht beobachtet worden. Es handelt sich bei denselben, n~ch der Beschreibung yon Jarisch (54), um das Auftreten multipler~ gelblicher oder gelblich-roter, h~ufig auch braunroter, fester, stecknadelspitz-bis linsengrol]er, keinen Porus aufweisender, im Gesicht ]okalisierter KnStchen, welche haupts~chlich die mittleren Teile desselben einnehmen und besonders um die B~ase, an den 1%senwinkela und den Naso]abialfalten dicht gedr~ngt stehen.Da diese Form zuerst yon Pringle (86) beschrieben wurde, wird sie auch vieltach als Adenoma sebacum ,Typus Pringle" bezeichnet.Arch, f.
