Résumé L’approche ergonomique de l’activité enseignante présentée dans cet article resitue les pratiques des professeurs dans un milieu professionnel et donc forcément partagées avec d’autres pour définir des marges de manœuvre qui leur permettent de répondre à la prescription. Cet article considérera l’artefact prescriptif comme un organisateur de l’activité collective des professeurs qui s’engagent dans la conception de milieux de travail (pour eux et pour les élèves) et d’outils leur permettant de réaliser ce qu’ils ont à faire. Les résultats d’études empiriques montrent en quoi l’activité collective est organisatrice d’un milieu de travail qui peut être à la fois source et ressource pour le développement de l’activité de l’enseignant dans ses dimensions collectives comme individuelles.
Dans cet article, nous développons des stratégies de formation permettant de mieux préparer les futurs professeurs d'école à enseigner en milieu difficile. Elles concernent la formation initiale et un dispositif d'accompagnement des nouveaux titulaires lors de leur première affectation en ZEP/REP. Elles s'appuient sur des résultats de recherche portant sur les pratiques de professeurs d'école enseignant les mathématiques dans ces milieux socialement défavorisés, résultats que nous rappelons au début de l'article.
Article paru dans « Recherche et Formation » N°44, 2003, INRP Résumé L'activité du professeur consiste moins en la réalisation d'une tâche d'enseignement qu'en sa re-conception, issue des arbitrages relatifs à la recherche d'une efficacité non seulement dans l'accomplissement de son travail, mais aussi dans l'accomplissement de soi. C'est ce point de vue que nous voudrions soutenir dans cet article, en nous appuyant sur l'analyse de l'activité de professeurs d'arts plastiques en ZEP. Nous montrerons que ces enseignants trouvent des solutions efficaces pour " prendre " et " faire " la classe, au double sens de milieu et de collectif de travail. Nous mettrons ensuite en évidence que l'organisation du travail des élèves passe par des gestes de métier puisant tout à la fois dans l'expérience individuelle et dans une mémoire trans-personnelle, constituée de façons de faire partagées, liées à la "gestion" spécifique de l'engagement psycho-corporel du professeur d'arts plastiques. Nous conclurons sur les perspectives qu'ouvre l'analyse du travail enseignant à la formation. L'exercice professionnel en zones d'éducation prioritaires (ZEP) est une épreuve pour l'enseignant, au double sens de preuve (d'occasion de vérifier et d'affirmer son métier) et d'empêchement (de souffrance résultant d'une mise à mal du métier et d'une perte du pouvoir d'agir). Dès lors, la question de l'efficacité des pratiques enseignantes, qui apparaît aujourd'hui comme une préoccupation importante, tant pour la recherche en éducation que pour les politiques scolaires et la formation des maîtres, se pose en ZEP dans toute sa complexité. En effet, l'évaluation de cette efficacité est le plus souvent envisagée à partir des effets produits sur les élèves en termes d'apprentissages, et non à partir du travail d'enseignement requis pour engendrer ces effets. Or, comme dans tout travail, l'activité de l'enseignant est orientée par la recherche d'une efficacité malgré tout (Clot, 1995 ; Amigues & Saujat, 1999), sous la double impulsion du sens de cette activité pour le sujet, et de la nécessaire efficience des opérations permettant sa réalisation. Autrement dit, on ne saurait selon nous appréhender l'efficacité du travail réalisé par un professeur, sans prendre en compte les arbitrages grâce auxquels il cherche à faire de ce
L'enseignement de l'e/ectricite elementaire utilise largement des schemas de circuits electriques. Differentes experiences presentees ici montrent qu'aucun apprentissage specifique de leur lecture et de leur comprehension n'est fait en classe. Au contraire l'enseignement renforce IE! r{jle de certains types de schemas (les schemas canoniques), ce qui contribue Q organiser les connaissances des eleves sous forme de prototypes. Ainsi les schemas deviennent des objets autonomes deconnectis des concepts de l'eLectricite. Des experiences d'apprentissage de l'electricite tendantQ modifierlespratiques actuelles serontpresentees. E'lles sont basees sur la prise en compte des conceptions naives des eleves. Les representations graphiques servent alors de support a l'apprentissage des concepts de l'eLectricite.En tant que chercheurs en didaetique de la physique, nous sommes souvent interpeles par les enseignants sur les causes d'echec de l'enseignement de cette discipline. Ces causes sont imputees essentiellement ala complexite de la discipline et/ou aun defaut de raisonnement des eleves, ou encore aleur absence d'interet. Jamais l'activite graphique n'est evoquee comme l'une des causes possibles de difficulte des eleves, Or l'utilisation de graphismes (dessins, croquis, figures, schemas...) dans la transmisson des connaissances en physique est d'un usage courant. Mais l'utilisation et la comprehension de schemas ne semblent pas faire l'objet d'un apprentissage explicite, Cet article, qui s'appuie sur differentes experimentations realisees en France dans le cadre de l'enseignement de l'electricite, montre que les eleves eprouvent des difficultes liees d'une part Ii la comprehension des representations iconiques et symboliques, et d'autre part aux conditions dans lesquelles l'enseignement les met en jeu.En electricite, les schemas de circuits electriques font partie du contenu meme de l'enseignement de l'electricite, I.e schema electrique n'est pas qu'une simple illustration d'un montage materiel, C'est un type de graphisme qui decrit le fonctionnement d'un circuit electrique; c'est-a-dire qu'il represente, sous forme codee, differents elements du circuit electrique qui doivent etre identifies et analyses selon un modele theorique qui articule les concepts de I'electricite,
