Resumo OBJETIVO Analisar as notificações de incidentes relacionados aos medicamentos potencialmente perigosos dispensados em um hospital de ensino do interior de São Paulo. MÉTODOS Estudo descritivo, retrospectivo com abordagem quantitativa dos dados provenientes da análise das notificações em farmacovigilância que ocorreram no período de janeiro de 2009 a dezembro de 2014, a partir de tabelas e gráficos, apresentando as frequências absolutas/relativas. RESULTADOS Das 786 notificações de farmacovigilância, 188 foram relacionadas aos medicamentos potencialmente perigosos, sendo 36,7% de ineficácia terapêutica, 32,44% queixa técnica, 15,95% reação adversa, 7,44% flebite, 5,13% extravasamento, 1,06% erro de dispensação, 0,53% erro de administração e 0,53% erro de medicação. Os profissionais que mais notificaram foram enfermeiros. Os grupos farmacológicos de maior notificação foram drogas com ação sobre sistema nervoso (35,63%). CONCLUSÃO A análise demonstrou que houve um número de notificações expressivo e necessidade de adoção de estratégias a fim de garantir maior segurança do paciente.
Objetivo: avaliar os efeitos imediatos da orientação do plano de alta hospitalar aos pacientes com DPOC. Método: estudo prospectivo, comparativo, realizado num hospital privado de São Paulo, com pacientes com DPOC. Na primeira etapa foi aplicado questionário “Plano educacional para pacientes com DPOC” para avaliar conhecimento do paciente sobre sua doença. Na segunda etapa foi realizada intervenção educacional e na terceira, reaplicação do questionário. A comparação do resultado do pré e pós-teste foram feitas pelo teste T pareado. Projeto de pesquisa aprovado em comitê de ética, parecer no 003/12. Resultados: dos 50 pacientes participantes do estudo, 68% responderam não conhecer bem sua doença antes da orientação e apenas 22% após intervenção educacional. Todas seções do questionário apresentaram aumento na média de acertos após intervenção educacional. Conclusão: orientação do plano de alta hospitalar mostrou-se efetiva resultando em melhora imediata do conhecimento.
Conflitos de interesse: nada a declarar Resumo Objetivo: Identificar o conhecimento produzido sobre estratégias tecnológicas voltadas para prevenção de quedas de adultos no ambiente hospitalar. Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online/National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE/ PubMed), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scopus e Web of Science publicados no período de 2017 a 2022.Resultados: Foram incluídos 19 artigos, a maioria publicado em revistas de Enfermagem (42%). Os temas que emergiram da análise foram: tipos de estratégias tecnológicas, custos, privacidade do paciente e relevância dos profissionais de enfermagem no desenvolvimento, avaliação e utilização dos dispositivos.Conclusão: A pesquisa revelou uma gama de recursos tecnológicos voltados para prevenção de quedas disponíveis no mercado que podem ser incorporados nas práticas assistenciais. Cabe aos hospitais definirem qual estratégia aplica-se de forma mais adequada à sua realidade.
El envejecimiento poblacional en América Latina se refleja en el aumento progresivo de la demanda de atención al adulto mayor, cuya dependencia funcional es proporcional al aumento de la edad, y consecuentemente en el aumento de las caídas en ambientes asistenciales como los hospitales. Se trata de una investigación documental electrónica, descriptiva, retrospectiva y cualitativa, con datos recolectados de registros de patentes depositados hasta el 01/01/2000 en la base de datos Derwent Innovations Index (DII). La muestra final estuvo formada por 36 patentes, con predominio de nacionalidad americana y en inglés, el 69,4% estaban dirigidas a la monitorización del entorno y el 30,6% eran sensores vestibles. Se observó que la mayoría de los productos tecnológicos destinados a la prevención de caídas de ancianos en el ámbito hospitalario están destinados a la vigilancia del entorno, aunque los sensores portátiles presentan ventajas frente a este tipo de dispositivos en cuanto a uso, área de cobertura, precio e instalación.
