Tem sido objeto de pesquisa no campo educacional o sucesso escolar dos alunos oriundos das camadas populares. Os estudos nessa área, tanto internacional (Lahire, 1997;Laurens, 1992) como nacionalmente (Portes, 2003;Viana, 2007; Zago, 2000), buscam identificar fatores que explicariam a longevidade escolar desses estudantes. Dentro dessa perspectiva, este artigo pretende, inicialmente, identificar e analisar alguns fatores que contribuíram para que professoras oriundas das classes populares obtivessem longevidade escolar. Objetiva também compreender as repercussões da formação em nível superior desses sujeitos em suas práticas pessoais e profissionais. IntroduçãoEste artigo tem como objetivo central descrever e analisar as trajetórias escolares de estudantes das classes populares. Objetiva também compreender a importância da vivência desses sujeitos em um curso pré-universitário popular para o acesso ao ensino superior.O interesse em investigar tais questões adveio da minha atuação em um pré-vestibular popular, denominado Pré-Universitário Popular Práxis, que é um projeto de extensão da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal Fluminense (FEUFF) criado em 2008. Leciono a disciplina Sociologia da Educação na referida instituição e faço parte de um grupo de pesquisa que tem como propósito investigar questões relacionadas ao acesso e à permanência no ensino superior.Em virtude dessas experiências, foi definido o objeto deste estudo e realizada uma pesquisa em que se procurou descrever e analisar a trajetória escolar e pessoal vivida por dois indivíduos oriundos das classes populares, egressos do Curso Pré-Universitário Popular Práxis, que obtiveram êxito em exames vestibulares e ingressaram no ensino superior.Considerando as características específicas do objeto de estudo, optamos por realizar uma pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando a abordagem biográfica. O estudo buscou identificar e analisar as dificuldades de ordem material e simbólica enfrentadas por um grupo de estudantes da Universidade Federal Fluminense, oriundas das classes populares, assim como as estratégias utilizadas por elas para permanecerem no ensino superior. Optou-se por uma pesquisa qualitativa e utilizou-se a abordagem biográfica. A trajetória escolar de uma participante da pesquisa, descrita e analisada neste artigo, revela o grande esforço empreendido por ela e pela família para ingressar e permanecer no ensino superior.Palavras-chave: Acesso e Permanência; Classes populares; Trajetórias Escolares.
Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar as trajetórias escolares e a prática docente de professoras pertencentes às camadas populares que atuam na educação infantil e nos primeiros anos do ensino fundamental. Procurar-se-á refletir, com base na análise de memoriais acadêmicos elaborados em 2009 por um grupo de alunas-professoras do último período do curso Normal Superior, acerca da formação escolar e da prática docente desses sujeitos. Devido ao espaço restrito deste artigo e à abrangência da temática, neste trabalho será descrita e analisada especialmente a trajetória escolar narrada por uma dessas professoras. Utilizou-se no estudo uma abordagem biográfica. Assiste-se, nos últimos anos, a um aumento no número de docentes oriundos dessas camadas sociais. O trabalho pretende contribuir para que possamos compreender melhor quem são essas professoras, suas particularidades. Acredita-se que tal conhecimento seja fundamental para orientar nossas práticas como formadores de docentes e repensar a estrutura curricular dos cursos que formam esses profissionais da educação.
Para a sessão “Documento”, o Dossiê sobre Acesso e Permanência na Educação Superior reuniu Portarias do Ministério da Educação concernentes à Avaliação da Educação Superior, com foco nos Indicadores de Qualidade preconizados pelas mesmas. O interesse maior nestes documentos incide na verificação da presença, ou não, de indicadores de qualidade relacionados à permanência dos graduandos em seus cursos, bem como sobre as taxas de conclusão decorrentes da permanência.Apresentamos quatro Portarias, duas delas expedidas pela gestão Dilma Rousseff e duas pela gestão Michel Temer, a saber: Portaria Normativa 8/2016, Portaria 386/2016, Portaria Normativa 15/2016 e Portaria 1.383/2017. A rápida sucessão de Portarias sobre a mesma temática, conforme veremos, demonstra uma mudança de perspectiva das duas gestões governamentais, uma vez que elas traduzem orientações, encaminhamentos e correlações políticas envolvidas.Será fácil verificar que as duas primeiras revelavam um compromisso abrangente com a qualidade, ao prever indicadores que avaliavam a comunidade acadêmica numa perspectiva totalizante, tanto em razão dos vários agentes considerados, quanto dos fenômenos educacionais produzidos nessa interação. Na direção oposta, as duas últimas Portarias aligeiram a avaliação, restando nitidamente facilitados os compromissos e obrigações das instituições perante a formação integral dos graduandos.Por isso, acreditamos na relevância de explicitar e de discutir tais Documentos, cujo conhecimento e efeitos podem ter escapado aos olhos de muitos, em prejuízo da democratização da Educação Superior. A fim de melhor apresentar os Documentos, seu contexto e efeitos, subdividimos sua apresentação em capítulos. Como segue.
