Objective:To analyze the scientific literature on preventing intimate partner violence among adolescents in the field of health based on gender and generational categories. Method: This was an integrative review. We searched for articles using LILACS, PubMed/MEDLINE, and SciELO databases. Results: Thirty articles were selected. The results indicate that most studies assessed interventions conducted by programs for intimate partner violence prevention. These studies adopted quantitative methods, and most were in the area of nursing, psychology, and medicine. Furthermore, most research contexts involved schools, followed by households, a hospital, a health center, and an indigenous tribe. Conclusion: The analyses were not conducted from a gender -and generation-based perspective. Instead, the scientific literature was based on positivist research models, intimately connected to the classic public healthcare model and centered on a singular dimension.

Objective: to understand the limits and the evaluative possibilities of the Family Health Strategy regarding the recognition of the health needs of women who experience violence. Method: a study with a qualitative approach, grounded in the perspective of gender, and which adopted health needs as the analytical category. The data were collected through interviews with health professionals and women who made use of a health service, and were analyzed using the method of discourse analysis. Results: the meeting between the discourses of women who use the services and the professionals of the health service revealed, as the interface, human needs, as in the example of autonomy and of bonds. The understanding regarding the needs was limited to the recognition of health problems of physical and psychological natures, just as the predominance of the recognition of needs for maintaining life in the light of essentially human needs was revealed in the professionals' discourses as an important limitation of the practices. Conclusion: emphasis is placed on the perspective of gender as a tool which must be aggregated to the routine of the professional practices in health so as to confirm or deny the transformative character of the care in place regarding the recognition and confronting of the women's health needs.

DESCRIPTORES ABSTRACTExploratory and descriptive study based on quantitative and qualitative methods that analyze the phenomenon of violence against adolescents based on gender and generational categories. The data source was reports of violence from the Curitiba Protection Network from 2010 to 2012 and semi-structured interviews with 16 sheltered adolescents. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS software version 20.0 and the qualitative data were subjected to content analysis. The adolescents were victims of violence in the household and outside of the family environment, as victims or viewers of violence. The violence was experienced at home, mostly toward girls, with marked overtones of gender violence. More than indicating the magnitude of the issue, this study can give information to help qualify the assistance given to victimized people and address how to face this issue.
By permitting that the adolescents take risks on new ways, the Game allows them to become creative and active in the production of senses, in the creation of their discourses and in the ways of thinking, feeling and acting in the sexuality field.
Objectives:To analyze the recurrence of child abuse in the municipality of Curitiba -Paraná and to understand the phenomenon from the perspective of gender. Methods: A study using a quantitative approach of the descriptive exploratory type. Among the 338 notifications of violence against children aged zero to 9 years of age by the Network for the Protection of Children and Adolescents of this city, with final notification in 2009, 300 cases were analyzed for being repeat offenders. Results: All the cases were domestic violence and the most frequent recidivism was neglect, with a mother as the primary aggressor. Sexual violence appeared more among girls, with recurrent cases of the same type or preceded by negligence. The manifestation of recidivist violence against children presented itself superimposed with a tendency to deteriorate with the evolution of cases. Conclusion: Violence against children is determined by relationships of Power, determined by the categories of gender and generation, which produce inequities potentiating the family vulnerability in relation to violence. A critical view about this issue may indicate measures to overcome it, with regard to assistance and prevention of its occurrence and recidivism in both the health sector and other sectors.
