Analysis using the interactive analysis techniques that includes four components:data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The purpose of this study are to describe the teacher's efforts in strengthening the social caring character for students of MI Muhammadiyah. This study uses qualitative methods with the techniques of collecting data by using interviews, observation and documentation. To test the validity of research data using triangulation technique of source and triangulation technique. Data analysis techniques in this study consisting of reduction, data presentation and verification. The result of this study indicate that the strengthening of social care characters is implemented through 1) integration of self-development programs through routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary and conditioning, 2) integration in subject, 3) integrating school culture through social activities and social action, building community-class harmony, and emphathizing with classmates. The strengthening of social caring character in MI Muhammadiyah as a whole has gone well.
Pembelajaran abad 21, kegiatan pembelajaran tidak lagi berorientasi pada guru tetapi berorientasi pada siswa. Sebagai pendidik harus mampu mendesain perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan teknologi yang sedang berkembang. Saat ini apabila pembelajaran disajikan hanya berpusat pada guru dan dengan penjelasan teoretis, membuat siswa kurang bergairah dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Untuk itu media audio visual berupa video pembelajaran dapat menjadi penunjang pembelajaran aktif, penuh makna dan menumbuhkan antusiasme belajar yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan tingkat antusiasme siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui media pembelajaran audio visual dan 2) mengetahui dampak dan minat siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis audio-visual dalam kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan disuatu komunitas yang terletak di Desa Kaligarang, Keling, Jepara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yakni pengamatan langsung, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penyajian pembelajaran yang hanya didominasi ceramah, cenderung mengakibatkan peserta didik tidak memperhatikan dan asyik sendiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) setelah pembelajaran disajikan dengan pengimplementasian media audio-visual berupa video pembelajaran, respons oleh tiga dari empat siswa mereka sangat senang dan bergairah serta berantusias dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan bantuan video pembelajaran dan hanya satu siswa yang kurang berminat. 2) Maka dapat dikatakan media pembelajaran audio visual mampu menumbuhkan antusiasme belajar siswa jenjang sekolah dasar.
Bencana merupakan suatu hal yang sulit untuk diprediksi kapan datangnya. Di Indonesia, khususnya di Kecamatan Sukoharjo sering terjadi berbagai macam bencana, oleh karena itu pendidikan tentang mitigasi kebencanaan atau sadar bencana sangatlah perlu diberikan kepada masyarakat khususnya pada siswa sedini mungkin agar meminimalisir adanya korban jiwa. Tujuan dalam pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan apa saja yang harus dilakukan ketika disuatu wilayah terdampak bencana atau mitigasi bencana, agar sasaran sosialisasi juga selalu siap siaga. Media yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program menggunakan video. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian masyarakat melalui sosialisasi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sasaran program ini adalah siswa-siswi MI Muhammadiyah Bulakrejo. Hasil dari program yang telah dilaksanakan yakni siswa dapat mengantisipasi terjadinya bencana, bagaimana harus bersikap saat terjadi bencana atau cara menanggulangi bencana. Pendidikan mitigasi bencana ini merupakan hal yang penting untuk diberikan kepada masyarakat di Indonesia mengingat negara kita memiliki beragam bencana yang dapat terjadi sewaktu-waktu.
Dusun Tanon lereng gunung Telomoyo Kecamatan Getasan, kabupaten Semarang memiliki potensi Desa wisata (Dewi) menari yang dicanangkan sejak tahun 2012. Dewi yang menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata yang khas dan unik, dengan sajian paket hiburan menari oleh masyarakat dusun Tanon, disamping pagelaran seni, dolanan tradisional, wisata pembelajaran (outbond), wisata psikoterapi dll belum dikelola secara maksimal dan profesional. Seiring dengan perkembangan usaha paket wisata di desa menari Tanon, persoalan penataan lingkungan, pengembangan potensi untuk produksi industri kreatif, dan pengelolaan peternakan yang bersih perlu menjadi perhatian. Kegiatan Ipteks bagi Desa Mitra (IbDM) ini, difokuskan pada dua kegiatan. Pertama, bidang lingkungan dan kedua, kegiatan berbasis pada aspek ekonomi dalam mengangkat potensi tanaman lokal, yaitu pegagan dan sayur-sayuran. Pendampingan penataan lingkungan asri, pengelolaan peternakan bersih dan pengembangan usaha hasil pertanian berbasis potensi lokal, dapat menambah daya tarik dan kenyamanan pengunjung untuk menikmati suasana pedesaan, meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung, meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat melalui pembelian produk-produk olahan kreatif dari masyarakat, yang muaranya adalah peningkatan kesejahteraan dan kualitas hidup masyarakat di desa wisata, serta terwujudnya pengelolaan dan pengembangan desa wisata yang lebih menarik dan kreatif, pengelolaan peternakan yang bersih, dikembangkan pertanian produktif serta diversifikasi aneka produk olahan berbasis potensi lokal.
This paper explores a group of primary teachers’ knowledge and perspectives about multimodal text and its usage in teaching critical reading skills for upper primary students in Surakarta, Indonesia. This case study explores a group of primary teachers’ knowledge and perspectives about multimodal text and its usage in teaching critical reading skills for upper primary students (students of grades 4, 5 and 6) in Surakarta, Indonesia. A focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted among 30 primary teachers and 10 school principals by using open-ended inquiries. The discussion administered several topics related to teachers’ perspectives about multimodal texts, teaching critical reading instructions, and the application of multimodal text in upper primary learning. The results of the research shows that text-based learning in the primary curriculum was mostly using written text with minimum illustration and often was only supported by a video from the internet. Most participants confirmed that they develop upper primary students’ critical reading skills by asking students to retell, finding key information, discussing the main ideas, and mostly answering questions about the text they read. The conclusion of the research is that the implementation of multimodal text in upper primary learning was limited to written text with illustrations, posters, advertisements, and video or animation videos from the internet. The implication of this research urges teachers to use multimodal texts to enhance critical thinking skills.
The purpose of this research is to find a model of strengthening character education inelementary school environment learners Javanese culture. The specific objective of thesecond year is to formulate a model of an active character education and fun in theelementary school students then tested the cultured Javanese character education modelthat is active and fun in the cultured primary school learners Java. The main methoddeveloped in this research is descriptive - qualitative - reflective. The research method willbe implemented in the second year is the collection of data with focus group discussionsinvolving teachers, principals, school committees , and parents / guardians of students .The collected data were analyzed by using a reflective critique. In that year also applieddata collection methods to test the model. The data were analyzed with a heuristic model.This study has several performance indicators of each year. After the first year the indicatoris reached, followed by a search for examples of learning models applied by the teacherin the implementation of character education. Year two indicators to be achieved is thestrong foundation of character education in the elementary sense after FGD with teachers,principals, school committee, and parents / guardians of students. This indicator willexplain: (1) the weaknesses and strengths of the old model of learning in the teaching ofcharacter education, (2) the expectations of elementary education stakeholders aboutcharacter education , (3) application of learning models “ Thanks Sam “ in SD and thesurrounding region of Surakarta , (4) the power of learning model “ Thanks Sam “ as alearning model that is able to strengthen the character of elementary school students ..
The purpose of this research is to identify 1) the advantages and weakness of talaqqi method in program tahfidz Al-Qur'an juz 29,30, and 2) Attempt to overcome the weakness of talaqqi method in program tahfidz Al-Qur'an juz 29,30, The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Data collection methods used in this study are the method of observation, interview and documentation. Validity of data used is triangulation method and triangulation of data source by using three step activity data analysis that is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that 1) The advantages of talaqqi method is the motivation factor and habalan memorization of students which is still less so this method is considered very suitable and effective to be applied in the madrasah and students can read and memorize the Qur'an in accordance with the rules of science that tajwid correct. The weakness of the talaqqi method is derived from its own student factors that have not mastered the science of tajwid well such as short length, pronunciation makhraj, students who are easily bored so it will be joking with friends of their own. 2) Efforts made by teachers in overcoming the weaknesses of talaqqi method is to check the reading, control the development of memorization of students, listened one by one, come to the desk students who felt still have difficulty in memorizing, and by forming homogeneous classes tailored to the level of students' memorization skills.
