Background and Study Aim. Hammer throwing is the most complex athletic throwing discipline with rotational trajectory and strong effect of several different forces that try to disable the projected throwing trajectory. Kinematic parameters are an important segment in the analysis of athletic disciplines, including hammer throw. They are an indicator of influence and often a difference between competitors of different or the same rank of the competition. The aim of the study was to determine the spatial and temporal differences of kinematic parameters between male and female elite hammers. Material and Methods. The study was conducted on sample of 16 Daegu World Championship finalists in 2011, to analyse differences in kinematic parameters between male and female throwers hammer. To obtain the required results, t-test for small independent samples was applied. Results. The data obtained in the study were given as Mean and Standard deviation. Statistically significant differences between male and female finalists were confirmed in the rate of ejection (t=3.684; p<0.004) and the speed of the fourth turn (t=4.396; p<0.002). The male finalists achieved an average ejection velocity of 27.91m/s and the female finalists 27.17m/s, with an average turn speed of 4.67m/s (male) and 4.03m/s (female). Conclusions. The research has shown that significant differences were made between male and female finalists in Daegu in 2011. The causes of differences can be found in length of training, different training process, technical mastery, competitor experience, morphological profile, motor and anatomical structures, movement technique and biomechanical parameters, which were not taken into the research.
In order to have successful technical analysis athletics uses modern biomechanical methods, and the obtained results are subjected to numerous analyzes. On the basis of the results of biomechanical parameters the most successful motor structure techniques of a competitor can be planned, programmed and analyzed, and based on this information projections for the top model in a given discipline can be made. Also based on these data possible gender differences between the jumpers can be analyzed, in order to possibly establish model and numerical values for both male and female population of jumpers. The survey was conducted on a sample of male and female finalists of the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 with the aim of determining the difference in the kinematic parameters that are important in achieving the score success. The sample included 16 athletes (8 female and 8 male), who participated in the finals World Championship.Using T-test module were obtained the results which established statistically significant differences between male and female athletes in eight (72%) of the analyzed kinematic parameters in favor of male jumpers. The differences were identified in the following kinematic parameters: running speed on the section run (11-6m; T=8,347) and (6-1m, T=8,031), the speed of the second step (VLCT2SB, T=8,678), the first step (VLCT1SB, T=11,463) and the horizontal speed of the rebound (HoVLCT, T=4,627) to the level of significance (p<0,001).Also were identified differences in the parameters of the length of the third step (LNGT3SB, T=2,840), the first step (LNGT1SB, T=2,270) and vertical speed of the rebound (VoVLCT, T=2,246) to the level of significance (p<0,05). Kinematic parameters (28%) of the second step length (LNGT2SB), the duration of phase contact (CONTACT) and the angle of reflection (ANGLE) have not recorded statistically significant differences between male and female finalists, which amounts to 28%.
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of gross motor skills in ASD children during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Participants in this study were ASD children with a total of 25 children aged 8-12 years (M = 10.02; SD 1.27), who were selected by random sampling technique. This research instrument is the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2). Data analysis in this study is descriptive analysis. The results of gross motor skills show that 20 ASD children are in the average standard score of 4-5 (gross motor question = 70-79) in the low assessment category (80.00%) and 5 ASD children are in the average standard score of 1-3 (gross motor question = <70) is included in the very low assessment category (20.00%). Therefore, the majority of the total gross motoric data for ASD children are in the low category, namely 20 children or 80.00%. This research is not without limitations in its implementation. This research contributes to the implementation of future research, namely the need for treatment to optimize Gross Motor skills in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The urgency for proper and measurable treatment and the limitations of this study are important things to pay attention to for further research.
Purpose: Young people who study physical education and sport are a priori regarded as having proper body structure and body composition. It is widely presumed that young who study physical education at one of several national universities of physical education (East Sarajevo) could be characterized with proper physique and body composition. Aim of the current study was to assess and analyze the body composition of a male students Physical Education and Sport, University East Sarajevo, by bioelectric impedance analysis and determine the significance of inter correlation coefficients. Material and methods: In study the participants consist 30 male students of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, University of East Sarajevo, the III year of study (Body Height = 182.20 ± 6.89cm; Body Weight = 80.06 ± 8.80kg; Body Mass Index= 24.03 ± 2.58kg/m²). Results: of the study showed that the body composition is within the healthy (allowed) values recommended for this population of students (Body Fat=10.90kg or 13.62%; Body Muscle= 65.74kg or 82.40%; Body Water = 61.54%; Basal metabolic rate = 2045.07kCal; Daily calorie intake = 8436.56 kCal, etc.). Inter correlation coefficients showed inverse and significantly high correlation (p=0.000) between (inter correlation coefficient Fat-Muscle = -0.945), (inter correlation coefficients Fat-Water = -0.963) while direct correlation was achieved between (inter correlation coefficient Muscle-Water = 0.986). Conclusion: The obtained results of the study defined the appropriate body composition of the students, which is a consequence of their adequate physical activity and well-designed curricula at the home faculty. In the parameters of body composition, students of physical education and sports in East Sarajevo had a higher muscle component and lower values of fat component than other students as a result of their somatotype, way of studying, teaching and extracurricular physical activities.
Background and study aim. Group fitness programs are a form of programmed physical exercises with the aim of improving health, aesthetic appearance, satisfying the motivation to preserve health and reduce body weight. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of an experimental cardio fitness program on the morphological status of female subjects aged 21.5 ± 3.5 years. Material and methods. The experimental program was implemented over a period of three months (12 weeks), with a weekly frequency (3 x 20-60 min). Initial and final measurements were performed and Body weight, Body fat percentage, Body fat mass, Free fat mass, Body muscle mass, Body mass index and Basal metabolism rate were analyzed. All test subjects have their doctor's confirmation that they are healthy and can undergo training loads in a planned and clearly defined cardio program. Results. The exercise program on cardio equipment caused changes in all body composition parameters between the initial and final measurements t-test (except for muscle mass). The total average Body weight at the initial-final measurement (66.45 vs. 64.70kg; t= 5.225, p<0.000), which represents a difference of -1.75kg after the program. Conclusions. The assumption is that a controlled and monitored program with a special focus on nutrition would lead to even more precise results on the effects on body composition. Continuous application of the content of this program throughout the entire one-year macrocycle with a higher weekly frequency would certainly give even more significant results.
