Três anos após o surto do Zika Vírus no Brasil diferentes impactos na população brasileira podem ser evidenciados, em especial na vida das mulheres que tiveram filhos nestas circunstâncias. Pernambuco, onde a pesquisa de campo tem sido realizada, foi o estado com mais casos de nascimentos de bebês com a Síndrome Congênita do Zika Vírus - confirmados pelo Ministério da Saúde. Diante disso, tem-se um cenário de muitos desafios tanto por parte das instituições públicas, dos profissionais de saúde, das crianças atingidas como, e principalmente, da parte de suas cuidadoras. A existência de redes de apoio à essas famílias, composta majoritariamente por mulheres que enfrentam uma situação de vulnerabilidade social anterior à epidemia, contribui tanto para a esfera econômica quanto afetiva das “mães de micro” - como se intitulam essas mulheres em decorrência à microcefalia de seus filhos. Mas, ainda assim, a carga de tarefas direcionadas à essa mulher, seja ela mãe, avó ou tia, é instransponível. É ela a responsável pelos cuidados diários desse bebê, é ela quem enfrenta árduos trajetos nos itinerários terapêuticos e, é ela quem vivencia, juntamente a sua filha ou a seu filho, a discriminação de uma sociedade tão pouco preparada a lidar com as especificidades de um indivíduo deficiente (DINIZ, 2010). A partir da etnografia realizada com as “mães de micro” o presente trabalho busca refletir as relações de ambiguidade produzidas neste cenário; por um lado existe um sujeito se empoderando com as relações construídas através das redes de apoio, por outro lado tem se uma mãe viajante e cansada que vivencia itinerários solitários e cumpre uma agenda de tarefas dedicadas exclusivamente a um filho com demandas especificas, como nos conta uma de nossas anfitriãs: “O que adianta conhecer muita gente e no fim das contas estar sempre só?”. Neste sentido, o olhar antropológico nos ajuda a compreender como essas mulheres tem ressignificado a maternidade e, sobretudo, como a solidão tem se repercutido em suas trajetórias, tencionando a intersecsionalidade de gênero, classe, raça e deficiência.
Este ensaio fotográfico foi realizado a partir da pesquisa “Microcefalia, deficiência e cuidados: um estudo antropológico sobre os impactos da síndrome congênita do vírus Zika no estado de Pernambuco”. A narrativa visual busca problematizar a saúde de mulheres, mães de bebês com síndrome congênita – um desdobramento do Zika vírus -, considerando a rotina intensa, solitária e cansativa dessas mulheres.
Pernambuco foi um dos estados com maior ocorrência dasíndrome congênita do Zika. A síndrome foi associada ao vírus em 2016e desde seu surgimento tem gerado repercussões em várias esferas doBrasil contemporâneo. Neste artigo, buscamos compreender como asmulheres, que se auto afrmam como “mães de micro”, têm lidado com osefeitos da epidemia em suas vidas. A expressão “mães de micro” é utilizada em referência à microcefalia, condição de boa parte das crianças com a síndrome, e torna-se uma identidade política, acionada também para fns de reivindicação. Juntas, elas se organizam com o apoio de duas ONGs presentes neste contexto. Com o trabalho etnográfco realizado neste cenário foi possível observar alguns elementos que se inter-relacionam nessa temática e que surgem do enfrentamentocotidiano dessas famílias, compostas majoritariamente por jovens e negras pertencentes às camadas populares de Pernambuco. O cotidiano dessas mulheres, agora traçados por vários itinerários até os centros terapêuticos e clínicas especializadas; pela luta por informação; por direitos e tratamentos para seus/suas flhos/as, reacende odebate sobre a organização social do cuidado à luz de novas perspectivas que se desenvolvem através de categorias como cansaço e solidão,constantemente evocadas em suas narrativas. Nesse sentido, provoca-nostraçar as interfaces que o cenário da SCZV mobiliza no debate sobre cuidado.

As mães de crianças nascidas com a Síndrome Congênita do Zika Vírus são as principais agentes na lida e no cuidado diário dos filhos. Por meio de pesquisa etnográfica, percebemos como o acompanhamento de psicólogas e psiquiatras destinado a essas mães tem se intensificado, assim como a frequência de narrativas sobre o consumo de antidepressivos e remédios destinados a “acalmar os nervos”. Aqui, pretendemos refletir sobre os medicamentos antidepressivos e ansiolíticos consumidos por essas cuidadoras, relacionando-os à categoria de cansaço, central em suas narrativas.
