O ensino remoto emergencial foi adotado por algumas redes de ensino brasileiras durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Diante disso, a presente investigação de caráter qualitativo, se propôs a analisar dois relatos de experiências escritos por docentes que afirmam colocar em ação o currículo cultural da Educação Física, objetivando identificar os limites e possibilidades da proposta diante das dificuldades impostas pelo contexto pandêmico. A pesquisa evidenciou que essa vertente proporciona a flexibilidade necessária ao ensino remoto emergencial, contribuindo, portanto, para a permanência de um trabalho pedagógico de qualidade e possibilitando a continuidade do isolamento social, até que seja seguro o retorno às aulas presenciais.
O artigo investiga as possibilidades da Educação Física cultural durante o período de isolamento social em que grande parte das escolas brasileiras adotaram o chamado ensino remoto emergencial como alternativa para manutenção das atividades didáticas. Para tanto, foram entrevistadas quatro professoras que afirmaram colocar a proposta em ação entre março de 2020 e agosto de 2021. Após confrontar a transcrição das gravações com a teoria curricular em questão, os resultados indicam que o ensino remoto emergencial não impediu o agenciamento das docentes pelos princípios ético-políticos nem dificultou o desenvolvimento das situações didáticas que caracterizam a vertente. O maior empecilho consistiu na restrição de acesso à internet por parte das crianças que frequentam a escola pública, o que levou à criação de alternativas e diversificação das ferramentas virtuais.
