Na Parte I do dossiê Diálogos na Teoria Crítica, indicamos sua proposta reside em explorar, com rigor teórico-conceitual, alguns dos principais debates que tiveram impacto sobre a consolidação da teoria crítica da sociedade ou sobre a trajetória intelectual de seus representantes. A ideia é mostrar como a fi losofi a e a teoria social não se fazem de modo solitário e estático; elas envolvem, no mais das vezes, um processo dinâmico de interação com outros pensadores, tradições teóricas e modos de fazer fi losofi a e teoria social.Na presente edição apresentamos a Parte II do dossiê, composta por textos que tratam de uma variada gama de temas, períodos e debates que marcaram a história (e a atualidade) da teoria crítica, incluindo nomes como Karl Marx, Theodor Adorno, Ernst Bloch, Erich Fromm, Herbert Marcuse, Walter Benjamin, Jürgen Habermas, Axel Honneth e Nancy Fraser em diálogo com Jacques Derrida, Simone de Beauvoir, Jacques Rancière, Judith Butler, Michel Foucault, Antonio Gramsci e Ernest Newman. Os textos foram organizados segundo quatro eixos: o "bloco Marx", o "bloco Adorno", o "bloco Habermas" e o "bloco Fraser".Abrindo o presente volume e o "bloco Marx", o texto de Josué Pereira da Silva (UNICAMP) explora o conceito de trabalho na obra de Marcuse, procurando situá-lo em relação às formulações marxianas e, ao mesmo tempo, destacar o papel que tal conceito exerceu no âmbito dos movimentos sociais e tendências teóricas contemporâneas a Marcuse. Para um amante de listas a seção de agradecimentos é particularmente prazerosa de se escrever e desde antes de meu ingresso na pós-graduação e de esta dissertação começar a surgir eu venho imaginando-a. Felizmente, ao longo dos três últimos anos ela só viria a aumentar. Este reino da liberdade criativa e da informalidade, porém, tem mais semelhanças com a própria dissertação do que eu imaginava: no projeto parecia até fácil, mas quando a escrita começa fica claro que nem tanto. É preciso método também. Como agrupar as pessoas? Por curso? Por período? Ou uso uma abordagem mais individualizada? Ficará grande demais? Não posso esquecer ninguém... Esta é a primeira vez que escrevo agradecimentos oficiais na vida. A pressão é grande.As pessoas que menciono aqui participaram ou participam da minha vida em momentos e espaços os mais diversos, dentro e fora da universidade. Se estão aqui não é porque fizeram simplesmente parte da construção de um mestradoeste período tão breve quanto interminávelmas porque fizeram ou fazem parte da trajetória mais ampla que percorri até aqui. Estas pessoas me ajudaram a encontrar motivação e confiança quando preciso, me abriram os olhos e ouvidos para mundos desconhecidos, me fizeram mudar minha percepção de mim mesmo e me mostraram pelas mais diversas razões que não é possível "fazer filosofia" sozinho.Isto começou com aquele grupo que cedo se descobriu como a "filosofia 05".
A Revista Idéias chega ao quarto número da nova série com um formato consolidado: a revista apresenta um dossiê temático, com artigos e ensaios escritos por professores com uma produção teórica relevante na área escolhida, e uma Seção Livre, com chamada aberta à participação de pesquisadores com trabalhos inéditos -que podem ser artigos, ensaios ou resenhas. Todos os artigos da Seção Livre são selecionados após a análise de pareceristas externos. Além do dossiê temático e dessa seção, a Revista Idéias conta também com entrevistas de personalidades de destaque no meio acadêmico.O tema escolhido para este número, Debate público e filosofia no Brasil, vem consolidar a presença de temas oriundos da filosofia na Revista Idéias. Essa era uma demanda sentida pelos membros da comissão editorial da Revista (que, afinal, é uma publicação do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas) e, com isso, acreditamos contribuir para o fortalecimento do diálogo entre a filosofia e as demais disciplinas das ciências humanas. Disciplinas como ciência política, direito, sociologia, ciências médicas, psicanálise, entre outras, são mobilizadas nas contribuições presentes neste volume, sem que com isso se perca a especificidade da abordagem propriamente filosófica.É importante frisar que a opção por um dossiê que tem como tema a filosofia no debate público brasileiro visa apresentar um conjunto heterogêneo de textos, os quais tratam, cada um à sua maneira, de assuntos relevantes tanto para a comunidade acadêmica (não só filosófica) brasileira como para o público em geral. Ao mesmo tempo, os textos reunidos neste volume são capazes de indicar como a filosofia é chamada a intervir nesses debates -tais textos são uma amostra de como se pode fazê-lo.No ensaio que abre o dossiê, de autoria de Nythamar de Oliveira, são discutidos alguns paradigmas teóricos na filosofia política contemporânea, notadamente as teorias de John Rawls, Jürgen Habermas e Amartya Sen. São mobilizados, nesse contexto, conceitos centrais na filosofia política como os de igualdade,
