This study was conducted in Basrah at period from March throughout the September 2011. 1175 blood samples were collected from goats in five regions of Basrah province that have no signs of disease and no any history of vaccination to estimate the seroprevalence of PPR in goats and undergoes to the cELISA test. The results of the study revealed that , the seroprevalence of the disease was 27.6 % . There were no significant differences in the seroprevalence in relation to sex and regions of the study (P ˃ 0.05 ). On other hand, the prevalence of PPR was higher significantly in the goats between 1 -3 years of age compared with other age groups.

The study was conducted at Thi-Qar province at period from 16-9-2016 to 15-1-2017. Nine hundred ( 900 ) fecal samples were taken rectally from cows. Fecal PH and fecal score were recorded. The results of this study revealed that , the mean of fecal pH  and fecal score in our cattle was 7.76 ± 0.086 and 2.72 ± 0.16 respectively . There was no significant differences in fecal pH and fecal score between male and female and between mature and immature cattle   ( P > 0.05 ) . There was significant positive correlation between fecal pH and fecal score (P <  0.05 ) .

This study was conducted in Basrah at period from August 2018 till February 2019. Six hindered (600) blood samples were collected from different fields of cattle suspected infected with LSD according to the clinical examination at Al Mudaina and Al Qurnah town, north of Basrah province to detect the antibodies against LSD (550 females, 50 males, 200 calves less than one year old, and 400 cows aged more than one year). The result revealed that, the overall prevalence of LSD in cattle was 18.66% ( 112 out of 600 ), the prevalence of disease in calves was 30% ( 60 out of 200 ) ;While in cow was 13% ( 52 out of 400 ), and there was significant differences in the prevalence of LSD between calves and cows ( P˂ 0.05 ). The prevalence of LSD in female was 16.3% (90 out of 550), while in male was 44% (22 out of 50), and there was significant differences in prevalence of LSD between males and females. The clinical study revealed that LSD was found in three clinical forms include nodular dermatitis observed in 104 cases (92.8%), arthritis in 20 cases (17.8%) and lymphadenopathy in 3 cases (2.5%).

Haematological values of sixty normal dogs aged from 2 months to 2 years of both sexes were estimated. Red blood cells count (RBCs), hemoglobin concentration (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV). Mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), total and differential leukocyte count, total plasma protein, plasma albumin, fibrinogen and globulins were determined using several laboratory techniques and equations.The results revealed that, all RBCs parameters decreased with age except Hb, MCH and MCHC. The latter two increased with age while Hb was unchanged. All other parameters increased significantly with age. There were no significant differences in all parameters between both sexes.

Indirect ELISA test was used to detect specific antibodies against Coxiella burnetti in sheep in different regions of Basra province.184 local sheep breeds were randomly selected of different ages and of both sexes were used in this study, including 98 pregnant ewes, 55 non-pregnant ewes, 8 aborted ewes ,7 ewes of still births, moreover 112 lower than 2 years,more than 2 years 72and 13 rams.Results showed, that the percentage of infection detected by indirect ELISA were 41.84%.It have been concluded that C.burnetti were infected ewes of different status in Basra province, therefor periodic investigation of suspected animals must adviced. were a significant between, areas, age, groups pregnancy status and still birth ewes .incontrast non significant different were detected among gender , abortion .

Sodium chloride poisoning has been suspected in Iraqi buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) of Basrah governorate, A study was conducted on 523 animals. All animals drank natural water from the Shatt al-Arab sources. Seventy-six animals show different clinical manifestations, and twelve clinically healthy animals were used as controls.  Diseased buffalo exhibited different clinical manifestations. A significant increase in PCV with alterations in indices of clotting factors was also explored. Serum analysis demonstrated increase in serum sodium and chloride concentrations in diseased buffalo. However, water analysis revealed elevation of electrical conductivity, sodium, chloride and total dissolved solids in the drinking water of diseased buffalo. The macroscopic appearance of the carcasses showed congestion and slight edema of the brain tissues, Moreover, the histopathological examinations revealed, spongiform-like encephalopathy with severe congested blood vessels and neuro-vascular thrombus was detected.
