The aim of this article is to identify the relation between career anchors and attitudes related to protean and boundaryless career orientation within Health professionals. Three questionnaire surveys were conducted: the Protean Career Attitudes Scale and the Boundaryless Career Attitudes Scale developed by Briscoe, Hall and DeMuth (2006), and the Career Orientations Inventory by Schein (1993). The methodological choice of the study is quantitative, the survey method was privileged and data collection was performed with employees of a private hospital whose population consisted of 70 employees. The final sample had 64.28% of respondents. The results indicate that there is a certain adherence to one of these types of career, men being more adherent to the protean career and women to the boundaryless career. There is also indication that more educated people (post-graduates) show adherence to both types of career. There is no evidence of any connection between the choices for anchor careers and the level of adherence to a protean career or to a boundaryless career orientation. Results also indicate that the life style anchor is the favorite within Health professionals, which reflects their need to balance and integrate family life and work.
