A high-energy output Nd: YAG laser has been designed and constructed with passive F2−: LiF Q-switch, unstable resonator and one-stage amplifier. The experiments were carried out to choose the optimum low-intensity transmission of F2−: LiF shutter. The developed laser operates with repetition rate 10pps, pulse energy 1.2J and beam divergence 0.5mr.
This article discusses the cognitive function of instincts in animal world. The undertaken research demonstrates that the formation of individual’s ability for a certain (complex) action requires having a corresponding specific inborn genetic capacity – the scheme of instinct for that action. Using anthropomorphic approach and the critical verification of its application, authors of this article have revealed the elementary inborn cognitive capacities lying at the basis of the main types of animals’ learned behavior. Special attention is given to the inborn mechanism of animal learning by imitation. The suggested conception of the schemes of instinctive behavior is applied to the analysis of the level of cognitive skills that could be achieved by exercising and training.
The process of bioindication of genotoxic effects of complex mixtures on the water resources using plants test-objects is very appropriate and effective. Test-systems based on plant use have shown high sensitivity and are recommended for monitoring genotoxicity of xenobiotics in the air, water and soil (Grant, 1994; Ma, 1999; Aghajanyan et al., 2015). Among plants test-objects, the heterozygote clones for flower color (blue-dominant, pink-recessive) of Tradescantia (clones 02 and 4430) plays a special role. The Tradescantia stamen hair mutation (Trad-SHM) and Tradescantia-micronucleus (Trad-MCN) bioassays are the efficient and reliable biomonitoring test-systems for detecting the genotoxicity and clastogenic effects of environmental pollutants (
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
