The aim of this study is to identify an intention towards work after retirement. This article examines the multilevel sequential mediating role of job satisfaction and affective commitment in the relationship between passion for work and intention towards work. This study has used 310 respondents retired from government jobs and data are collected through a well-administered questionnaire. Smart partial least square-structural equation modelling (SmartPLS-SEM) was used to analyse data. Path analysis of the structural model revealed that passion for work has a significant relationship with job satisfaction, affective commitment and intention towards work. The findings of the analysis show that the multilevel mediator model is significant ( β = 0.08, p < 0.05) at the 5 per cent level of significance. This study supports the satisfaction-commitment model and creates intention towards work after retirement. This research is unique in the sense that it relates passion for work and satisfaction-commitment model with the work intentions of the retired persons.
The aim of the study was to determine intention to receive Coronavirus disease‐19 (COVID‐19) vaccination in India. An integrated model of Theory of Planned behaviour (TPB) and Health Belief Model (HBM) was used. Online survey was conducted in Delhi NCR region to find out the intention to receive vaccination. Data was collected from 845 respondents during 15 February 2021–15 March 2021, just after COVID‐19 vaccination became available in the India. Partial Least Square‐Structural Equation Modelling was used to establish the relationships. The results of the analysis show that proposed framework is significant and explained 71% variance in intentions. Attitude, subjective norm, perceived behaviour control and self‐efficacy from the TPB had direct (or significant independent) effects on intention and perceived benefits, perceived susceptibility from the HBM have indirect effect on the intentions through attitude. The present study can be used to maximise the uptake of vaccination in any future pandemic. This theoretically‐driven model can be used to guide health policy makers and health care providers to increase the uptake of vaccination.
A common dilemma for developing countries is to balance economic growth and environmental protection. Since the major issue in designing the building is energy conservation. The costing of building project is another issue in applying the principle of energy. A building uses a huge amount of energy during its lifetime. It is greater than the energy consumed in construction. There are numerous causes why building will use more energy during its life. Taking into account the building materials used in the built environment as well as the overall energy use should be taken into account when looking for ways to minimize energy consumption. In light of climate change, by 2030, India has to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions to 35%. Thus, the aim of this research is to is to find out the measures that can reduce the energy consumption of building not only at the time of construction but also lifetime. The study suggests various energy efficient measures for construction of building and for further functioning. In this paper the concept of green building was discussed to make a building energy efficient. Green building focuses on the reduction of carbon emissions and conservation of energy using a progressive difference-in-differences method. The study suggests the various energy saving concepts. Further, there are many green building rating systems to rate the building on various dimension to measure whether a building is environmental-friendly or not. In the end of the paper various issues involved in energy efficient building’s construction are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
