Cu II catalyst is less efficient at room temperature for CÀSc ross-coupling. CÀSc ross-coupling by Cu II catalyst at room temperature is not reported;h owever,d oping of copperw ith molybdenum metal has been realized here to be more efficient for CÀSc ross-coupling in comparisont o generalC u II catalyst. The dopedc atalyst CuMoO 4 nanoparticle is found to be more efficient than copper.T he catalyst works under mild conditions without any ligand at room temperature and is recyclable and effective for a wide range of thiols and haloarenes (ArI, ArBr,A rF) from milligram to gram scale. The copper-based bimetallic catalyst is developed and recognizedf or CÀSc ross-coupling of haloarenes with alkyl and aryl thiols.

The C–S cross-coupling of alkyl/aryl thiols with haloarenes using BaMoO4 nanoparticles was accomplished with high yields, and good functional group tolerance and selectivity. Unactivated bromo and 4-acetyl fluoroarenes can afford thioethers in high yields.
