Abstract: This paper deals with accuracy problems occuring at multirate identification with high order models. The system analysis of the multirate cascade shows that the discrepancies are due to ambiguities of the identification method. As a result of this investigation a stable and accurate multirate identification procedure can be derived. It uses further a-priori-knowledge about the system and guarantees the estimations unambiguity independent of such limiting conditions as starting values or errors of measurement. Its efficiency concerning accuracy, convergence speed and tracking capability was proved in simulations.
