Der Beitrag beschreibt ausgehend von aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen in Bezug auf das Verhältnis des Individuums zur Gruppe im schulischen Feld die Relevanz eines gruppalen Blicks in der Sonderpädagogik bei Verhaltensstörungen. Exemplarisch wird im Rahmen dieses Beitrags die bislang in der Pädagogik bei Verhaltensstörungen nicht rezipierte Gruppentheorie der operativen Gruppe von Enrique Pichon-Rivière vorgestellt und abschliessend als reflexiv-gruppale Professionalisierungsstrategie für angehende schulische Heilpädagog:innen, die im Feld sozio-emotionaler Entwicklung tätig werden, beschrieben.
