Row spacing, plant density and intrarow plant spacing uniformity effect on soybean yield and agronomic characteristicsAbstract -The objective of the present study was to evaluate the row spacing (45 and 60 cm), plant populational density (10, 13, 16, 19 and 22 plants m -1 ) and intrarow plant spacing uniformity (acceptable spacing 25%, 35%, 60% and 100%) effects on soybean yield. The experiment was carried out in the years 1997/1998 and 1998/1999, using the CAC-1 cultivar. The experimental design was a splitsplit plot, with three replications. There was increase in the soybean yield in the 45 cm-row spacing when plant density was reduced to 10 plants m -1 , and with uniformity above 60%. The plants height and lodging were significantly reduced; however, survival was increased as reduction of the density happened. It was also detected that the increase of the spacing uniformity reduced their lodging.Index terms: Glycine max, lodging, grain, yields.nacional.
The experiment was carried out in Itutinga, southern Minas Gerais state, Brazil, in a randomized blocks experimental design with three replications in split-plot. The cultivar used was BRS Favorita RR. The treatments applied to plots consisted on four doses of "poultry litter" (0; 3; 6 and 9 Mg ha -1 ), applied in the total area. The subplots were the five doses of mineral fertilizer NPK 04-30-10 (0; 100; 200; 300 and 400 kg ha -1 ), applied to the groove seeding. Fertilization with mineral fertilizers provides an increase in plant and first pod height, number of pods per plant and yield of soybean. Fertilization with organic waste "poultry litter" increases the plant and first pod height, weight of 100 grains, number of pods per plant and yield of soybean, however at higher doses favors the lodging of plants. The use of poultry litter is viable in agronomic and economic terms in the soybean crop. The addition of poultry litter increases the contents of potassium and sulfur in the soil.
ABSTRACT. Soybean is one of the main sources of foreign exchange credits for Brazil in the agricultural sector. There is increasing interest in growing this leguminous crop, especially in the southern region of Minas Gerais, due to its importance as an alternative for crop rotation with maize. In this respect, the study of the adaptability of new cultivars to the region is indispensable so as to obtain high yields. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of 38 soybean cultivars for growing in the summer season in the municipality of Lavras, MG, Brazil, in the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 crop years. The experiments were conducted in a randomized block design with 3 replications and the treatments consisted of 38 cultivars. At the time of harvest, the following assessments were made: grain yield (kg/ha), height of the lowest pod (cm), plant height (cm), and lodging. The data were subjected to individual and combined analysis of variance. The phenotypic mean values were clustered, adopting the Scott and Knott test. For simultaneous selection of multiple traits, the sum of rank index of Mulamba and Mock was adopted. The cultivar TMG 801 RR had the best yield performance; the cultivars Monsoy 8001, MGBR-46 8996 I.O. Soares et al. ©FUNPEC-RP www.funpecrp.com.br Genetics and Molecular Research 14 (3): 8995-9003 (2015) (Conquista), and BRSMG 68 (Vencedora) also stood out. Considering simultaneous selection for grain yield, plant height, height of the lowest pod, and lodging, the cultivar TMG 801 RR is recommended for growing in the summer season in the southern region of Minas Gerais.
Plant, environmental conditions and management type will determine final crop yield. Enhanced yield can be reached by using well-adapted and potentially productive genotypes; all of them ally to crop cultural practices and management. Among these, seed density stands out, once it interferes with plant morphology and competition for water and nutrients. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of varied seed densities on agronomic traits in soybean, besides identifying cultivars with wide adaptability to different environments and seed densities. Six soybean cultivars were assessed under four seed densities (100, 200, 300 and 400 thousand plants•ha −1 ), in nine different environments from Minas Gerais State, Brazil. The experimental design was a completely randomized block design with three replications. The BRSMG 760SRR and BRSMG 820RR cultivars had the best average performance independent of the environments and seed densities. The seed density of 300 thousand plants per hectare showed to be as the most adequate for soybean cultivation on the evaluated environments. Furthermore, seed density interacted with the agronomic traits in soybean.
ABSTRACTIn order to generate information to help scientists technicians and producers in the determination of cultivars to be grown in summer in Lavras region, the present work was carried out at the experimental area of INTRODUÇÃOA soja foi responsável pela formação de uma complexa estrutura de produção, armazenamento, processamento e de comercialização em todos os países onde é cultivada em larga escala.

RESUMO Visando selecionar cultivares de sorgo e soja de melhor rendimento forrageiro no consórcio, foi conduzido, em 1996/97, um and four hybrids of forage sorghum (AG 2002, AG 2006, BR 601 and CMSXS 756), and four hibrids of sorghum in monoculture. The one cutting system was superior than the two cutting system in relation of green mass and dry matter. The grude protein was superioty in the two cutting system. Use of the intercropping on the line provided greater yield total crude portein as compared with monoculture, being that the combinations UFV-16 and UFV-17 x AG 2002 and CAC-1 x AG 2006 were the ones which stood out the most to the one-cutting system. In the two-cutting system, Doko RC x AG 2006 and BR 601 and UFV-16
