These data suggest that BMI based on self-reported weight and height is not accurate for BMI prediction at an individual level. However, self-reported BMI may be used as a simple and valid tool for BMI estimates of overweight and obesity in epidemiological studies.

Use of the therapeutic toy during the child hospitalization process provides an effective communication between the professional and the child and also provides comprehensive care, which uses interventions that reduce or eliminate the physical and psychological suffering experienced by the children and their families, thus providing more humanized care. This study aimed to describe the experiences of nursing students on educational assistance activities carried out in a children's cancer hospital through the use of instructional therapeutic toys. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in the experience report modality, under the theoretical and methodological basis of the problematization of the Arco de Maguerez, which consists of five stages, namely: 1 - Observation of Reality; 2 - Survey of key points; 3 - Theorization; 4 - Solution Hypotheses and 5 - Return to Reality. It was decided to carry out educational actions focusing on the therapeutic need of children to develop an effective confrontation about the procedures performed. As main results, the therapeutic toy proved to be an efficient device for the preparation and social, intellectual and emotional development of the child even during hospitalization, with the reduction of tension and the mitigation of feelings such as fear and insecurity. Based on the above, the relevance of assistance aimed at the user is emphasized, based on a holistic view and in a welcoming care, with innovative and playful ways in order to promote the resignification of the child hospitalization process.

No Brasil, o câncer de mama ocupa a segunda colocação no que tange as neoplasias do público feminino. As medidas preventivas incluem ações primárias e secundárias, sendo as primárias referentes a um estilo de vida saudável e as secundárias apresentam-se mais específicas, estando ligada ao autoexame, avaliações periódicas da mama e realização de exames específicos, visando o diagnóstico precoce e o aumento na chance de cura. Dessa forma, este estudo objetivou relatar uma ação de educação em saúde ocorrida no âmbito da atenção primária de saúde, cuja proposta perpassava pela prevenção do câncer de mama a partir do reconhecimento prévio de suas manifestações, bem como da manutenção de hábitos saudáveis, visando a promoção da saúde dessas mulheres. Este estudo caracteriza-se como descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, do tipo relato de experiência, a partir da utilização da Teoria da Problematização fundamentada na metodologia do Arco de Charles Maguerez. Como principais resultados alcançados enfatiza-se que foi possível sensibilizar as mulheres sobre a importância do autocuidado adequado, além de oportunizar a participação ativa e ofertar um suporte adequado sobre os aspectos que permeiam a doença e suas chances de cura através do diagnóstico prévio. Ademais, conclui-se que a ação desenvolvida serviu como mecanismo consolidador dos aspectos que constituem a educação em saúde, reiterando a função fundamental da enfermagem no processo do cuidar.
