Las instituciones de educación superior han atendido el enfoque extrínseco de la calidad, dejando pendiente la autoevaluación de su desempeño organizacional. El objetivo de esta investigación es encontrar el impacto que tiene el capital relacional en el desempeño organizacional medido a través de la sección de resultados de la excelencia administrativa del modelo de la Fundación Europea para la Gestión de la Calidad (EFQM). Para ello, se aplicó un cuestionario a una muestra por conveniencia de 147 mandos medios y directivos de ocho instituciones mexicanas de educación superior tecnológica. Los datos se analizaron por medio de un sistema de ecuaciones estructurales mediante el enfoque de mínimos cuadrados parciales. Se obtuvieron relaciones positivas y significativas del capital relacional con los cuatro criterios de resultados del modelo EFQM, concluyendo que aquel influye directamente en el desempeño organizacional en concordancia con los argumentos de la teoría de recursos y capacidades.
Objetivo: identificar la estabilidad entre los resultados de la validez de constructo, convergente y discriminante de un instrumento de capital intelectual. Método cuantitativo:análisis estadístico de tres tipos de validez, previa traducción inversa (inglés-español-inglés) del cuestionario; muestra no probabilística de 226 empresas de México y Bolivia; cálculo del análisis factorial exploratorio, análisis factorial confirmatorio, varianza promedio extraída y criterio Fornell-Larcker. Resultados: se confirma la conveniencia de aplicar pruebas diversas para obtener la validez de un instrumento de capital intelectual. Originalidad: privilegiar lo teórico sobre lo estadístico en el análisis de la validez de instrumentos; confianza de replicar este cuestionario en contextos similares. Limitaciones: tipo y tamaño de muestra; inclusión marginal de la validez de contenido.
<span>El propósito de este trabajo fue analizar la equivalencia de medición de una escala de satisfacción laboral (Judge, Bono y Locke, 2000) y de una de compromiso organizacional (Allen y Meyer, 1990) entre la cultura mexicana y la estadounidense. Los datos se recolectaron por medio de un cuestionario auto administrado que se aplicó a una muestra no probabilística de estudiantes de maestría en ambas naciones (México = 287, Estados Unidos = 273). Los resultados indicaron que las escalas analizadas no son invariantes entre las culturas. Una implicación de este hallazgo es que los estudios transculturales de satisfacción laboral y compromiso organizacional pueden reportar resultados inválidos en cuanto a la comparación directa de los niveles de los conceptos. Para evitarlo, se recomienda tomar ciertas precauciones en la preparación y en el análisis de los datos.</span>
