Moringa leaf is a plant that has many uses that comes from the family Moringaceae and it is a tropical plant that is familiar to Indonesian people. Pharmacologically, this plant extract is reported to have antimicrobial and fungicide and it is rich in antioxidants. This metabolite compound contained in Moringa leaves has the potential as an antioxidant, antibacterial, functional and others. This study aims to determine the simplicia characterization of Moringa leaves and to determine the secondary metabolites contained in Moringa leaves, both Moringa leaf powder and Moringa leaf extract. The method of this research is experimental including the simplicia making and ethanol extract of Moringa leaves by maceration method, simplicia characterization and phytochemical screening. The results of the simplicia characterization of Moringa leaves for ethanol soluble extract content was 10,9% and water-soluble extract content was 15,8%, ash content was 9,6% and acid insoluble ash content was 0,6% and water content was 8%. The results of this study also showed that the simplicia powder and ethanol extract of Moringa leaves contained flavonoid, tannin, alkaloid, steroid and saponin.
Generations in the 21st century must be prepared to have HOTS literacy competencies and skills. The application of HOTS literacy in the learning process makes students more resilient and able to solve their own problems. This study aims to develop an integrated CBT e-module to improve student literacy HOTS. The resulting e-module has met the valid criteria and has proven to be effective in increasing student literacy HOTS. Student responses to the resulting e-modules are also very positive because the e-modules are designed using the Kvisof Flipbook Maker application which can be opened on laptops, computers or Android devices so that material can be repeated anytime and anywhere as well as HOTS materials and questions. compiled based on CBT to train and improve student literacy HOTS.
Chemistry is one of the most difficult subjects for most students. There are many factors that influence the success of students in learning chemistry, including mathematical abilities and students' initial abilities. This study aims to determine the relationship between mathematical ability and initial ability with students' chemistry learning outcomes. The sample of this study consisted of one class, namely class XI IPA 2 students who were taken by random sampling technique. Data analysis used simple regression test with variance test (variance fingerprint) and multiple regression, as well as correlation test and coefficient of determination at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that (1) there was a significant relationship between mathematical ability and student chemistry learning outcomes, with a contribution of 16%; (2) There is a significant relationship between initial ability and student chemistry learning outcomes, with a contribution of 33.64%; (3) There is a significant relationship between mathematical ability and initial ability simultaneously with student chemistry learning outcomes with a coefficient of determination of 51.27%.Ilmu kimia merupakan salah satu pelajaran tersulit bagi kebanyakan siswa.
HOTS is a lesson designed to prepare the 21st century generation. Each student's HOTS ability is certainly different, and this is certainly influenced by many factors. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation, self-confidence and initial ability with students' HOTS abilities. The sample of this study was 32 students of class XI MIPA 2 taken by random sampling technique. Data analysis used multiple linear simple regression test. The results showed that (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and students' HOTS abilities, (2) there was a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and students' HOTS abilities; (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between initial ability and students' HOTS ability; and (4) there is a significant relationship between learning motivation, self-confidence and initial ability with students' HOTS abilities with a determination coefficient of 67.8%.HOTS merupakan pembelajaran yang dirancang untuk menyiapkan generasi abad 21.
Generations in the 21st century must be prepared to have competencies and skills that include: critical thinking and problem-solving competencies, creativity, communication skills, and the ability to work together. The application of HOTS abilities in the learning process makes students more resilient and able to solve their own problems. The object of this research is the development of a general chemistry e-module for biochemical material to improve students' higher order thinking skills. E-modules are prepared and developed by taking into account the material and media aspects and are designed based on HOTS. The results of the validation and implementation of the developed e-module have been declared valid and proven effective in increasing student HOTS on biochemical material. Student responses to the resulting e-modules are also very positive because the e-modules are designed using the Kvisof Flipbook Maker application which can be opened on laptops, computers or Android devices so that material can be repeated anytime and anywhere and materials and questions are compiled HOTS-based to train and improve students' HOTS skills.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
