Shifting cultivation is the dominant land-use system in the Loksado Subdistrict. The shifting cultivation products provide various valuable subsistence products for Meratus Dayak farmers. The shift farming system is controversial because it is closely related to environmental problems. Shifting cultivation has undergone a drastic change to market-oriented land use. However, there is limited information on geographic data in the form of the spatial distribution of shifting fields. This is very important for the monitoring and evaluation of shifting agriculture. Remote sensing techniques provide an effective way to detect, monitor the location and extent of shifting cultivation. The method used is through visual interpretation of Sentinel 2 satellite images. The total increase in the number of shifting fields is 159 fields or 11.5% and the area of shifting cultivation has increased by 219.5 hectares or 8.17% in 2019. bags.
The spread of the COVID -19 outbreak does not only have an impact on social and economic aspects. The education process in schools and universities has also been severely affected by this outbreak. To overcome the obstacles in the educational process, concrete solutions are needed. One solution is to implement an online learning system by utilizing existing technology. The purpose of this research was to analyze an overview of the implementation of online learning in the Geography Education Department, LambungMangkurat University. This research used the qualitative method. The research subjects are Geography Education students, Lambung Mangkurat University who take online learning. Data collection through in-depth interviews using the google meet application. Data analysis used interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results showed: students already have basic facilities to participate in online learning; implementation of online learning has flexibility in time and motivates students to be independent and learn more actively; the implementation of online learning can anticipate the spread of COVID-19 in the campus environment because it automatically implements social and physical distancing; The challenges involved in implementing online learning are the cost of buying an internet quota and no internet network (especially in rural areas). The outcomes of this research encourage the emergence of social distancing behavior and minimize the possibility of a crowd of students on campus.
Rendahnya kompetensi spasial guru Geografi disebabkan karena kurangnya pemahaman guru dalam hal konsep data spasial dan penyajiannya yang sesuai dengan kaidah kartografis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman dan pemahaman kaidah kartografis serta pendalaman konsep menggunakan aplikasi ArcGIS dalam pembelajaran materi kartografis yang ada di kelas XII jenjang SMA sederajat. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru Geografi SMA sederajat di Kota Banjarmasin yang tergabung dalam kegiatan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Geografi. Pendidikan. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi disertai tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan ini secara keseluruhan dapat dikatakan baik yang dilihat dari ketercapaian target peserta pelatihan, ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan, ketercapaian target materi yang direncanakan, dan kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi.
