Aus einem sehr grol3en Untersuchungsmaterial zieht B. den Schlul~, dal~ die BischoffscLe A~na]~me, bet den Affen kfimen keine Labia maiora vor, unzutreffend sei. Vielmehr zeigt er bet vielen Platyrrhinen Labia maiora, die sogar sch~irfer begrenzt und relativ kr~ftiger entwickelt sind als beim Nenschen. Dasselbe gilt auch 1fir die niederen katarrhinen Affen, wobei sich die interes~ante Tatsache ergab, dal3 die Labia maiora in ziemlich grol3er Entfernung yon der GeschlechtsSffnung liegen und mit dieser in gar keiner Beziehung stehen. Die katarrhinen Affenweibchen verlieren ihre Labia maiora noch im jugendlichen Alter. B. ist also im Gegensatz zu B i s c h off der Ansicht, dab die Labia maiora des Menschen keineswegs l~eubildungen sind, sondern Erscheinungen, in denen der Menseh den l~atarrhinen Affen gegenfiber etwas Primitives bewahrt hat. Angeborene Yerengerungen des Orificium externum urethrae sind nichts seltenes; dal~ aber auch an der 0bergangsstelle zwisehen Pars bulbosa und membranacea angeborene Strikturen vorkommen, lehrt die bier yon Posner miigeteilte Beobachtung. Sie betrifft einen lljfihrigen Knaben, der ohne vorhergehendes Trauma oder entzfindliche Erkrankung wegen elner Yerengerung an der genannten Stelle mit Erfo]g durch Dilatation behandelt wurde. Auffallend an dem Krankheitsbilde war das spontane Auftreten ether H~maturie. Es dfirfte sieh um eine Nierenbeekenblutung infoIge der Urinstauung gehandelt haben. H. Hfibner (Frankfurt a. M.).
In Tilimann's Lehrbuch der allgemeinen Chirurgie findet sich über die Verwendung des Wasserstoffsuperoxyds der kurze Vermerk, dass nach L. y. Dittel dasselbe seines hohen Preises und seiner leichten Zersetzlichkeit wegen als Antisepticl]m nicht geeignet sei -das Todesurtheil über ein Desinficienz von hohem Werthe und Eigenschaften, die von keinem der anderen Antiseptica erreicht werden. Die antiseptische Kraft des Wasserstoffsuperoxyds ist seit langem bekannt. Nach Thiriar1) wurde es bereits vor 20 Jahren von Péan als Antisepticum angewendet, Sinéty empfiehlt es Anfangs der achtziger Jahre gegen die Blennorrhagie der Scheide, 1883 heben Baldy und Carriné seine Vorzüge hervor, 1898 wird es von Lucas-Championnière, 1899 von DezanneauundBroois Nenoff empfohlen. Lebesque hat damit Septhämie mit Gasentwickelung geheilt, und Thiriar selbst, der es bei zwei Fällen von Septhämie als einziges bis jetzt bekanntes erfolgreiches Mittel beschreibt, bezeichnet das Wasserstoffsuperoxyd als hervorragendes Antisepticum und Desinficienz, das er bei allen eitrigen Erkrankungen (Tetanus, Pustula maligna, Erysipel, Tuberkulose, Peritonitis tuberculosa mit Laparotomie, Aktinomykose, Panaritium, Phlegmone, komplizirten Fracturen, Puerperalfieber u. a.) erprobt und bewährt gefunden hat. Ebenso empfiehlt Tissot2) neuerdings aufs wärmste die Einführung des Wasserstoffsuperoxyds in die Chirurgie als eines ausgezeichneten Desinficienz, besonders für die Behandlung eiternder Wunden. Bei dem st.ndig wachsenden Interesse, das der genauen Kenntnis und Erforschung der Syphilis seit der Entdeckung der Syphilis-Spirochäte entgegengebracht worden ist und das jetzt durch die Wassermann-N eisser-Brucksehe Serumreaktion eine neue Anregung bekommen hat, dürfte jeder das Krankheitsbild dieser chronischen Infektionskrankheit erweiternde und ergänzende Beitrag von Wichtigkeit sein. Ich will daher in folgendem über ein bei einem Fall von Lues von mir beobachtetes Vorkommnis berichten, das, soweit ich die Literatur übersehen kann, zu den größten Seltenheiten gehört.Es handelt sich um einen 4ljährigen Bergmann, der nach seiner Angabe bisher immer gsund gewesen ist, der speziell nie eine Geschlechtskrankheit gehabt haben will.
