Partindo de leituras e interpretações já consagradas do poema “Le cygne”, de Baudelaire (Benjamin, Oehler, Barbosa), este artigo busca destacar certos aspectos relevantes da sua estrutura alegórica, procurando demonstrar como o sentimento de exílio e a melancolia característica do sujeito poético, temas fundacionais do poema baudelairiano, podem ser lidos numa perspectiva intermediária entre a interpretação histórico-política e a psicanalítica.
Variados trabalhos críticos têm acentuado o que se poderia chamar de "orquestração" dos textos da revista Orpheu (1915), ou seja, não só o estabelecimento dos lugares específicos e propositadamente escolhidos da colaboração de cada poeta na distribuição interna de cada número da revista, mas também certas relações paralelísticas entre os diferentes textos e autores de um número para outro. Para além de uma simples reunião de colaboração poética de certas afinidades eletivas, o Orpheu, no que respeitava à sua organização interna, parece mesmo ter sido cuidadosamente elaborada pelos seus idealizadores. Considerando que o terceiro número da revista, mesmo que não tenha vindo a público, também foi organizado para publicação, este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o lugar de "A cena do ódio", de Almada Negreiros, na referida orquestração da aventura órphica, sobretudo no que se refere à observação das relações que o poema estabelece com os outros grandes poemas ditos revolucionários que pontuaram a publicação (a "Ode triunfal" em Orpheu 1, o "Manicure" e a "Ode marítima" em Orpheu 2).
Vou recitar um hino que aprendi de cor. Antes de principiar, a minha expectação estende-se a todo ele. Porém, logo que o começara minha memória dilata-se, colhendo tudo o que passa da expectação para o pretérito.A vida destemeu ato divide-se em memória, por causa do que já recitei, eem expectação, por causa do que hei de recitar. A minha atenção está presente e por ela passa o que era futuro para se tomar pretérito. Quanto mais o hino se aproxima do fim tanto mais a memória se alonga e a expectação se abrevia, até que esta fica totalmente consumida, quando a ação, já toda acabada, passar inteiramente para o domínio da memória.
