RESUMENEn las últimas décadas se ha producido dentro de la antropología una eclosión de trabajos relacionados con cuestiones de ontología, que reflejan preocupaciones sobre la naturaleza del ser y de la realidad, al tiempo que reconsideran críticamente las demarcaciones y categorizaciones propias de la modernidad occidental. Pero, ¿de qué manera estas antropologías ontológicas han interrogado o transformado conceptos fundamentales de nuestra disciplina como son los de cultura, diferencia, materialidad, alteridad, comparación o etnografía? El presente artículo pretende ofrecer una visión de conjunto de las principales aportaciones teóricas y metodológicas de las antropologías ontológicas (tanto de corte conceptual, sobre todo el denominado «giro», como óntico), tales como la noción de alteridad radical, las revisiones animistas, la antropología simé-trica, la recursividad o la equivocación controlada. Este artículo plantea la irrupción del cine etnográfico en la academia como un revulsivo epistemológico para la antropología e intenta identificar las resistencias a una realización cinematográfica de calidad encuadrada en esta disciplina. Apoyándose en la duración bergsoniana, defiende que el cine etnográfico debe anteponer lo específico de la creación cinematográfica a toda pretensión pedagógica o demostrativa. En definitiva, considera que debe anteponer la realidad a la búsqueda de sentido.
El presente artículo pretende analizar la pelota vasca en tanto que un marco de concepción de sentidos y de representación del mundo. Los significados culturales se refundan dentro de la coyuntura, posibilitando el cambio dentro de la permanencia y la comunión entre jugadores y público. Este artículo defiende que la pelota ha ocupado un papel central en la conformación y mantenimiento de la conciencia colectiva de los vascos, y postula que la pelota es una práctica ritualmente celebrada y convertida hoy en deporte industrializado, que representa un expresivo acto de fundación cultural y que transmite narrativas elementales del vínculo identitario.
